That 8th inning could possible change this season around.

Confidence like that can go a long ways. LSU was dead. We were barely hitting the ball. Slow ground balls and pop ups, that's all we had all weekend. Something changed, maybe it was just bad pitching but I think it could be something more.

It will be interesting to see how we play from here on out. That win was extremely important.

That definitely made me feel a lot better about how this weekend went. Despite losing the series, we're still 4-2 in the SEC, with a lot of confidence moving forward. Nice spot to be in, hopefully we can carry that momentum into the coming week.

sometimes innings like that spark a change for good or bad in a season. Think it could be

and sometimes they do nothing lol

They will be better after this wknd. Valuable experience on the road against tough pitchers for the freshmen and a veteran lineup for the young pitchers.

Sure was and I think this will help their confidence at the plate going forward.

And to think, the team did it without needing a possum!

Hmm with CPM we will still win 15-20 Sec games . But we're not going to turn around his bad late season psychology, and decisions. This season will be another choke job in late May early June. Wish we'd just lose every series and Alleva can hire someone better.

Truth is this team is a faint fraction of an image of what we thought it would be. Injuries have taken away the clean up hitter, closer, and set up man. Our Ace is still trying to find himself and we are still in great position!
If the post season started today, this team would struggle to get out of a super but it doesn't start today! At some point a bunch of young guys are either going to find their roles and step up OR they won't and we'll struggle. CPM has taken worse and made better so I'm still very optimistic.

As you and everyone really should be. I said this after Friday nights game, it's the first SEC series on the road against one of the tougher opponents and we didn't get swept when we very well could have.

This win really is huge for LSU. The commentators even said LSU has won like 18/24 road series or something close to that which is out standing really. I mean LSU may lose more games this year but we really could be as good as the 09 squad by the end of it all. It's not how you start, it's how you finish and ole Paul may know that by now. Get these guys hungry for wins at the end. Of course you want to win games but they need to learn as well. Nothing like losing to learn who you are and how much work you need to earn wins at the end. Great inning but what changed is we got into their bullpen. Starters went deep in first two games .

Or not.
We are never as bad as fans think we are in the middle of a slump, nor as great as fans think they are after a win.

A little moderation would probably help the sanity of the board.

Kept saying one inning could have changed that whole series. Just unfortunate it happened in the 8th inning of game 3. At least it saved LSU from getting swept and hopefully will propel the team as the season progresses!
