Why? Why? That too right before the season opener so that now every media person can include this in their talking points when discussing the team. Coaches will have to answer stupid questions about it all year long. Just all around stupid. It’s been LSU football pre game process for YEARS that they are in the locker room for the anthem and then come out onto the field. Don’t think there was any political lean or disrespect to the anthem/country meant by it….Until now. Thanks Landry….great use of his time instead of helping to get Louisiana of the bottom of every state ranking list and actually help the people.

This is old news. You can also thank the media for bringing back up. Landry's spokesperson had no comment and I doubt Landry will either.

Landry asked this in the spring around the time of the women's BB final 4. It was dumb, it's new now because LSU announced they will not change their pregame routine. It'll fade away again if people quit talking about it. So quit.

He’s also the guy who appointed convict Cleo to important committee chair. Who cleared the way for 2nd minority US Congressional without opposition..then Cleo ran for this exact seat….

I have been attending LSU football home games for 30 years. I’ve never once seen a noteworthy incident during the anthem.
The way the school handles it has always been the correct choice. This is a move by the governor to generate outrage from simpletons and score political points. Ignore it and move on.
