I never wanted Jimbo - Les Miles 2.0. I was on the Herman train, and even thought Fleck might be a good choice. I was underwhelmed with the Coach O hire, but was open-minded enough to give him a chance. The only time I really questioned the hire was when he promoted Ensminger to OC over hiring some young spread offense guru. But he rectified that with the Brady hire. Coach O turned out to be the best of the bunch by far, and is a perfect fit for LSU.
Edit: Jimbo is not as good as Miles.

Its comical. They were so mad that i wasnt worshipping the 2017 and 2018 season that they dont understand how I can be enjoying this season.
Then you have people like genuinetiger that get mad because I dont worship Trump. Not that I want him impeached or didnt vote him but because I dare not give him 100% credit for today's economy.

I got accused of trashing the current staff the other day when I've been overly complimentary and congratulatory towards Coach O and the entire staff the entire season. It's really important to some that people dislike the coach. I'm not sure what they get out of it.

I'm sure you've noticed by now that ones doing it are the ones that tried to convince everyone that losing 4 games in 2017 and 3 games in 2018 while having a shite offense was perfectly ffine.it's the ones that wouldnt hear anything that didnt paint O and Ensminger as deity type coaches. Unless you spent the last 2 years claiming the program was in amazing shape, they hate you.
O and the staff have been amazing this year.

Loving this season. Love how Coach O is trusting Ensminger and Brady so much. It takes a comfortable coach to come out after the Texas win and say that it was the OC's call to stay aggressive and not his own. IMO it looks pretty clear that O has total faith in the staff and it's showing on the field. This is a dangerous team.

It’s like this tribal us/them mentality. You’re either 100% on board with something or you’re 100% against it. That’s where stupid words like “haters” come from. There’s no middle ground or deeper meaning to anything. They have to have it that way because they’re simpletons who cannot function in a world of deeper logic.

I was anti O because I thought they moved the goalposts. The Florida game that year really soured me.
And then the Canada debacle and Troy.
O deserves all the credit. He’s made great hires and recruited well.

The argument against O has always been he will require elite coordinators. As long as he keeps getting Brady’s and not Canada’s this will work.
