Tom Herman is an arrogant and condescending arse. Living in Houston during his tenure at UH, I heard him interviewed many more times than I care to recall. I always had the feeling that he thought he was better than anyone else. He always rubbed me the wrong way. I’m very glad that LSU did not hire him.

It wasn't that someone brought it up. It was the amazing frequency at which you repeated the information over and over and over and over and over and over. People didn't even have to read your posts if they looked at the name of the person who posted it.
You hung your hat on that bit of information and Eaux has made you look very, very stupid. I'm glad. Now LSU is #1 in the nation and the only thing you have is that he was a position coach. Oh poor, poor Rickdaddy - showed up BADLY by a position coach.
Dabo and Urban had a small part in making you look very dumb also. They have not only been good coaches they have multiple national titles to their names. But keep crying everyone a river over the only thing you have left to bitch about the LSU coach over. It's all you do.

U wanted Tommy herm? What for? Personally I didn't want him, he kissed every one of his players and that didn't sit well for me to want LSU to hire him. For Jimbo ahh I always thought he will just settle and never strive for bigger. That was just my opinion for some reason. The one thing I did not like bout Jimbo. He recruits thugs and was only after money. I really just didn't see it. And TBH I didn't quite see it with coach Oeaux but I thought why not give him a shot at it if that was their only choices to pick. Example coach Pete Carrol failed his first head coach job- was an NFL job, coach bill Belichick was not fantastic at his first head coach job- was head coach of cleaveland with Saban as his DC, result was everyone got fired. coach Saban was not all that great at his first head coach job, mediocre to be honest. Was head coach of Toledo and next Michigan state - mediocre careers there. Saban made his big break at LSU and really excelled, damn good at college coaching after a couple tries at it. Lane kiffen failed at absolutely every stop as a head coach he tried or every stop was a bad exit for him. He had good success as an OC at bama and doing well at head coach at a small college in florida.
*My point takes a couple tries at it for most people to see what kind of coach they want to be or where they need to be. Coach Oeaux did not want to frick up his big chance on his dream job at being head coach at LSU he really going after it and being agressive like saban was to be and set the standard. I said this in another thread. I thought O could have some success and possibly a great season, but I wasn't sure about sustained success. Looking at the recruiting boom that's going on now I don't see this as a 1 off season, but a building block. I do think we slide back a little in 2020, but 2021 becomes a title run again.
He's building a solid foundation and with a supportive AD like Scott the future looks very bright. There's also some rumbling that we might have a former staff member join LSU after this season that will make the staff even stronger.
