I'm nowhere near holier than thou, but if I had a silver platter of a football team handed to me and the opportunity to be an early round draft pick and get set for life, I'd try my hardest to not screw it up as royally as RP did.

Some things deserve ridicule. Come on.

Thats what we do here is Ridicule!! That's why its called the rant!!!

I for one will ridicule this guys bad choices over and over because what he did effects a lot of people, not only his own selfish self. Where does this guy get off with his feelings of self-entitlement? His antics have cost him millions of dollars (provided he had the actual work ethic to live up to his potential)
I could go on but my blood pressure is going up.

The only thing about this that is truly amusing is that some people just never figure things out. Everyone makes mistakes, this is true. Most however learn from them.

Apostles are overrated too.

Did Pistol Pete use counterfeit money at a casino?

Like RP's high school coach said, "Its like he is getting a $60 million check and tearing a piece of it off every time he does something stupid.

Anyone else see the irony here?

BTW: He screwed up here and now all indications are he continues to screw up there. Any feigned shock or indignation that LSU fans would comment on it in a negative light is laughable.

The Pistol was as OG as it gets.

Slappin peoples children, drinkin the last glass of milk...he would get on elevators before letting anyone out.

All you gumbas - with your holier than thou attitudes. You don't even know what he did, but since you guys consider yourselves apostles of Christ who never make mistakes, you judge every thing the guy does.

Funny, I was a fan of Pistol Pete's ability, this is true, but do any of you really know all of the hijinks that this guy was directly involved with during his LSU days? I am sure you don't - the same type of guys who's world history goes only as far back as WW2.

Talk to a few people who went to college back in Pete's day, there are plenty of legendary stories about his antics. Yet, the basketball facility is named after him, and he is everyone's hero.

The same thing goes for many LSU greats who had the fortune to play in days before youtube, camera phones, and twitter existed.

That is not to say that RP most certainly left LSU in a bad situation at QB last year for his selfishness and poor decisions. Les did the right thing - but its time to be a bit less judgemental.

But hey, I am sure all of you internet tough guys here would have no problem telling Lester Earl in person, how he personally hurt you, your family, and even your dog.

Let the RP crap rest unless its more significant than this.

Kind of reiterates Les' decision to get rid of him. I remember last year the homers calling for Les' job because he let RP go which directly caused our 8-5 season. This shows that the kid is still a bad apple with no concept of right and wrong. If he'd pulled this crap last year we may have still been in the 8-5 boat with less experience at QB then we have now.

Wow that's a really good point. Good stuff.

Dude....

Did you even read the fricking article?

His coach put him in some kind of high risk category meaning, wear your fricking socks correctly or you'll be suspended.

I have been put on a sales action plan before and knew, that to keep my job, I had to write some bs report every week.

Read the whole article and then use your fricking head.

Damn.
