And what would he do when he caught up with the receiver? All this would accomplish is out of 92,000 people he would be the closest person to actually see the receiver catch the ball.

huh?

go watch the 2nd to last play of USC-UT in the Rose Bowl after the 2005 season

he's saying the offense is 70+ yards away and they dump it off to a back 4-5 yards in front of the LOS and want him to do damage and get the closer, like USC did with bush. TH could be valuable in this situation

Thats a good image..... Tebow lined up in the shotgun. Trindon lined rushes from his right, Tebow rolls left, then suddenly turns and kicks Trindon, who goes flying.

But hey, it disrupted the play.

Ok hear me out. Put Trindon on outside as pass rusher. The opposing O-line will not be quick enough to stop him, he will be behind them on their first step. So then he will see a RB and he should be able to juke past them most of the time to reach the QB. At least it will cause offense to change their setup maybe to account for him. I know he might get mauled by the RB blocking him or even the QB like Tebow might put him in his pocket as he makes a break downfield. But it could work...

If it's a 100 page thread, SFP is all over it.

Fantastic idea. Even better lining Herm at full back and TH at tail back in short yardage. Ball is snapped and Herm shot puts TH over then line. Three yards guaranteed, unstoppable.

first of all that charlton heston thing is fricking hilarious.

could see 2 places where TH could potentially be useful on D:

1) coming off the edge to block a FG
They did use TH on some situations at the ends to block a FG attempt last year. Sadly, it didn't work.

I'm not sure that's possible.

He would not line up as a D-lineman but as rushing safety in nickle defense. When you tackle you do it below the waist, not above so TH is already half way there. Admit it, you would love to see this and see it work.

Oh and good idea on using him on field goal defense...
