Anyone know what section the band will be in for Longhorns game?

Right? About to bite the bullet for some tix. Might as well get close to band if possible

I know last season UT caught some flak for putting visiting bands way up high in the stadium. Kind of a bush league move, imo. I don't think they've changed their position on that.

It will be a very small band and will be up high.

Unless they are bringing the larger pep band (I think it’s about half the size of the regular band), they might as well just give those seats to fans, because nobody is gonna hear a 50-piece tiny pep band in that stadium.

Sec 119. USC brought it's pep band last year and it was kind of embarrassing. TCU brought it's full band and at least you could see and hear them. LSU went with the first option

Since almost no one in that stadium will hear our pep band from the top rows of the end zone upper deck, LSU should just not take a band.

All I know is they better play neck

Oh they will after we’re up double digits with the ball in the fourth

I think the larger pep band is 125. Smaller pep band around 50.

Like I said, why bother to even bring them? When was the last time we brought a band that small anywhere? As another poster said, when USC brought a tiny pep band to DKR, it just looked sad and you couldn't hear them.

I can't believe they are wasting the full band trip on frickin Vandy

Maybe they can all stand up with a boom box over their heads and play Neck.

I figured it would either be Vandy or to one of the Mississippi schools. It's cheaper and fewer fans request tickets. The band's seats come out of the ticket allotment LSU receives from the host school.
Auburn and Bama are really the only SEC schools who routinely bring a full band to Baton Rouge. Even UGA only brought a pep band to Tiger Stadium for the huge game last season. That said, they did bring their full band to Notre Dame the year before.
