These rankings do not take into account the addition or loss of players through the transfer portal.

Yeah, Bru McCoy leaving dropped them from 3 to 7.

Experience, especially on Offense is the biggest key to this game re: LSU's advantage.

Plus, our defense is superior to their offense, while experience is pretty much a wash

It's amazing how much team talent USC has and they can't get their shite together.

ut's Secondary is slightly better than LSU's WRs

When did this narrative start about Texas' DB's? Phil Steele was on AFR earlier and pretty much said the same thing. A few other national guys have chimed in with this as well.

They finished 110th last year against the pass and gave up 350yds a week ago. If Burrow puts up 350yds tomorrow then LSU is winning this thing 58-14.

It's also about recruiting talent to fill needs. Les stockpiled talent but not always in areas of need. You have to at least give O credit for not only maintaining a high level of recruiting but also filling critical need areas.

Of course Texas has tsually alent. But overall team talent based on recruiing rankings is misleading. It doesn't take into account attrition or development. Also have to factor that not all the kids are playing. Usually look at the two deep and go from there.

Okay, just for you:

2016 LSU 295.03 ____ Texas 280.16
2017 LSU 287.66 ____ Texas 217.76
2018 LSU 254.58 ____ Texas 300.06
2019 LSU 284.06 ____ Texas 287.69

LSU Avg. last four years 280.33
Texas Avg. last four years 271.42

Okay, just curious. Does this tell you anything differently than just using rankings like I did in the OP?

I was talking about the Team Talent Composite which looks at all of the players currently on a team’s roster. This accounts for transfers, attrition, early entrants, etc.

Most of all it’s easier to decipher. Your point stands, though - LSU is #5 in the Team Talent Composite Rankings and Texas is #7.

The rb injuries are a concern but ingram is a good one and very fast.(yes your d is fast also)

We are using a dual threat qb recruit roschon johnson at rb. 6'1 190 and also quick.reports say is taking to it quickly.
We will see if herman has any tricks up his sleeve using roschons arm out of the backfield.

Cant wait to see what happens

Texas WR core is probably the deepest most talented part of their team...I wouldn't say LSU's DB's are "MUCH" better just yet...I doubt any of your DB's will stop Collin Johnson, haven't seen a DB in college yet that could lock him down..The kids a freak..The only thing that would stop him is Sam having a bad day...
