From watching the game Sat night and hearing XM radio talk about it. With LSU barely filling up their stadium and people leaving after halftime. Aggies are where we were back in 2003 in terms of excitement and atmosphere.

With that said we still gonna beat that arse.

Come on, they were playing Clemson. Pick a different week to make this argument, even if it's probably factual regardless of opponent

They were playing Clemson, we were playing Southeastern. Change the teams and you would see a big difference. Change our offensive production and people would stay longer.

They played an exciting game vs Clemson

We sleepwalked or way to a blowout vs a directional school

What a fricking joke of a thread....if you think tiger stadium won’t be rocking for state Georgia or Bama you are obtuse.

Do you think A&M is happy about their new HC? LSU enthusiasm is trending in an opposite direction because of its HC and the numb nuts who hired him.

A combination of opponent + enthusiasm. Opponent is about 80% of it, but enthusiasm does take it to the next level. LSU fans are apathetic.

I get what you’re saying, but their stadium was about 70% full in their opening game. It’s all about the opponent.

go look at the A&M crowd last week when they played Northwestern State. Their upper deck was half full and that's being generous. Their atmosphere playing Clemson was no better than when we play Alabama or some other top 5 team at home.

BTW, the attendance thing is a problem nation wide. For these non-marquee matchups, everyone is having issues with people staying at home to watch the game. I know our fans like to think it's just an LSU problem, but it's objectively not. This wasn't a problem 15 years ago because 15 years ago every game wasn't televised

Are you really trying to compare the atmosphere when a team is playing a top team in the country vs. and FCS foe? It was hot as balls out there Saturday. I wouldn't have wanted to go bake in the East uppers for that either.

This is just laughable. #2 team in the country was in town, let's not act like the stadium isnt rocking for the better SEC teams.

If we would have come out of pocket and hired the coach that they hired then we would probably have a pretty damn good offense too....and thus a similar atmosphere.

Oh frick off. #2 team in the nation rolls into death valley and the top gets blown off that mother fricker.

I bet you loved checking out the yell leaders too.

We've had great coaches in the past, and the atmosphere was never rocking for a game against an FCS school.

Comparing a game against SLU to a game against Clemson is monumentally dumb.

We started 2003 5-0, A&M is 1-1 after two games

When A&M finished 13-1 come back to compare to our 2003 season

Seriously some of our LSU fans are all over A&M with a 1-1 start.

This is Kyle Field when they played UCLA a couple of years ago. If you can't get a full house for UCLA...

and here for some unnamed OOC opponent, taken from a thread on Texags

I'll stipulate that our attendance woes are probably worse than most top tier football schools, but they are far from unique. And I'll bet if you were in attendance at A&M Saturday, you would have seen some empty seats even for that game.
