I’m not sorry to see it honestly.

When you don’t recruit the best of the best from the state and still get your shite pushed in, no sympathy from me.

Beth needs to get off her arse and go beg Malloy Miles for forgiveness, along with the Calvary Baptist pitcher and Curtis catcher.

If these kids are good enough for Ole Miss, Georgia, and Florida, there is zero reason to not go after them.

Get some god damn Louisiana players in the program Beth.

We agree they shouldn’t be playing, I would put all freshmen in tomorrow, I would find someone that wants to wear LSU that’s for sure!! I watched Alabama today and their lead off hitter AA last yr is having a down yr, why? I didn’t believe in a sophomore slump but it happens for sure

We looked pretty bad in all phases of the game. Lorenz was horrible in LF - misplayed a fly ball leading to two runs. Over threw the cutoff one time, over threw the catcher another time.

SS had an error that led to a run.

Ump had a very small strike zone and we had Heavener pitching. Need I say more?

We did manage an amazing 4 hits - one because a little dribbler to 3rd hit the bag and jumped over the 3rd basewoman.

The team looked like they didn't want to be there except for the 7th inning when we got two hits and they started laughing and giggling as they put an orange cone on their head and made faces to the player next to them, who then decided to make a face of their own, which made the whole damn dugout laugh and giggle.

This while Texas A @ M was hitting 3 Hr's and advancing to the next base as we threw the ball around, made errors, Hit batters, and let balls pass us as we attempted to "Catch" the ball.

So, it was a typical LSU Softball game.

can someone give me an UNBIASED recap of how we looked today?

Heavener had good velocity today--maybe the best stuff she has had. Sat 68-70. But 5 walks didnt help, along with a tight strike zone (for both teams)

Game was 2-1 in the 4th. K Edwards botched an easy grounder to start the inning which led to 2 unearned runs. Also in the inning: passed ball by Bergeron on a swinging strike 3. Hard to ask your pitcher to get 5 outs in an inning against a good team.

The game was basically over at 4-1. Heavener gave up a solo HR to start the 5th and Cali Deal came in. Deal pitched really well for 3 innings with the exception of 1 meatball that she threw to A&M's moose in the middle of the order.

The offense was stagnant. A&M's pitcher is good, but nothing extra-special. A lot of weak contact, and just about everything we hit hard was into an out. Everyone has bitched about too many lefty slappers in the past, but I feel like we over compensated in the other direction. This team could use Laneaux (who was seen walking with a crutch) or Bedell, who was coming around last year then apparently isn't playing anywhere anymore.

This team just makes too many mistakes. Lorenz over-threw 3 different cutoff men from left field. K. Edwards had the error and also a fielder's choice play where she didn't get an out in the first inning, which led to a run. And Bergeron seems to be involved in more PB/WP than ever this year.

Heavener wasn't elite tonight, but she was good enough to where she should have given up 2 runs in 5 innings, which should be manageable. But the offense just isn't enough of a threat to overcome any amount of mistakes. The margin for error is very thin.

Don't let them bother you, handicap. Everyone is just frustrated and taking it out on anyone and everyone.

They aren't bothering me... I can dish it out as much as they can if needed. Yes, I'm frustrated like everyone else and also the players and coaches are... just don't feel that being negative is going to help my health lol.

I'm glad you noticed that you think that I'm being nice... I just learned after 35 years as a high school coach, then a principal, and now an administrator for coaching association to never post criticisms of coaches as I feel that I have an idea of what they are going through whether I agree or not.

It takes a lot for me to ever criticize a coach here, but I finally quit biting my tongue about Brian Kelly after watching the Aggie fans treat Tiger Stadium like it was their personal playpens.

I was asked if I ever had any issues with coaches at LSU and I said that I will never agree on everything, but they are at practice each day and if I was the head coach, my philosophy might be different, but I'm there everyday... since I'm not there everyday, then I have no idea what goes on daily and whether the coaches' philosophies are good/bad, or the players are/aren't executing their skills to the best of their abilities.

At my house, if my dogs could talk, they could tell you everything I say-- positive and negative! Lol

Well, that's where I'm different from you. I coached in High School also - mostly Volleyball and Basketball. Once, I retired (two years ago), I guess with all the time I have on my hands now (and the fact that college coaches make millions) I've found myself getting into bad habits of criticizing them more and more.

Good luck to you and maybe I need to get a part time job or something because going from working 14 to 16 hrs. a day to working zero hrs a day hasn't treated me kindly.

Working with the HS softball coaches organization and running the big NFCA Texas HS Leadoff Classic keeps me real busy during the season. Plus Ive earned several casino comped cruises to go relax!!
