I get that he’s a good hitter when he’s on, but he can’t be the 2nd catcher. He just sucks. At least Serna has some upside. We need Yamin to be the 2nd catcher now. His bat has been good enough to justify his defensive advantages.

Perhaps falling in love with a 19 year old senior hitting home runs off of 16 year old pitchers isn't the best recruiting strategy.

Nobody teaching the catchers how to catch. I’m sure the teaching sessions go a lot like this, “catch the fricking ball or transfer out(especially when theyre not hitting 4 bombs/game)

They have to catch strikes. They have to keep dirt balls in front of them. Not doing either well enough has added at least a run to the team ERA. And that’s probably conservative.

You got Milam, Curiel, and JB who are the only competent fielders we have. The rest are average or bad.

I feel bad for Schmidt. The score could easily be 4-1 if Bide does his fricking job. That’s not terrible against the lineup. But you can’t just give shite away to them.

Braun has looked better than average for a freshman starting at 1st.
