Terrible Effort Tonight. Ridiculous for a Tourney Game

Body language and energy was awful from the jump. LSU had the same stupid fouls and erratic offensive play as normal, but usually we can count on out-hustling and playing physical. That didn’t happen tonight.

Just a gross viewing experience. Felt like a bowl game that a highly ranked team mails in when they miss the playoff

Totally agree. If that was the focus and effort we were gonna get then we should have just started the post season ban punishment.

Listless. It's usually a point guard but the glue to this team was WW.
And still only lost by 5 and missed a shitload of FT's.
shite. Just shite.

Agree. Just ugly to watch. Seemed like they didn't want to be there

Pinson, Murray and Eason had horrible body language the whole year.

I don’t think that’s fair. It was 59-54 and a couple nba 3’s won it for them. We were better for sure, but the kids played hard.

They were handed a shite fricking sandwich and they showed effort. But it was impossible adversity to overcome

That last step back 3 from 25 sealed the game.

Man I really don’t agree. I’m not going to say any of the players flat out didn’t try (I think they did), but I look at effort and energy differently. Defensively and on the glass they reacted to the ball with hustle, but on offense things seemed listless. And then our press was not nearly as aggressive as it normally is. We didn’t do well in situations where we needed to initiate the action. To me, that’s an energy issue. The team played like their mind was preoccupied (not like this would be a surprise) and they were a step slow.

I think that’s an area that Wade did really well at- his teams almost always seemed motivated, and even if they weren’t to start the game, he would get them ready to roll shortly. Plus he was great at preparation and sometimes great preparation makes you move faster on the court because you’re more sure of yourself. We were missing that tonight.

It was a poor, poor performance. I don't want to shift the blame on the players, as they didn't have their head coach, but it was all-around awful play.

I hated that things ended like this for this team and players like Days. They are more talented than what they showed tonight.

But, oh well, the show must go on...

That’s what happens when you lose your General.

The General that led them to 7-11 over the last 18 games? I saw the same energy as all year. Driving to hole and missing layups because you're out of control. That was the WW MO this year.....chaos. When you play a well coached disciplined team, that "and1" crap don't fly. Bye bye WW. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out.

The Good from last nights game is that Woody would get run out of Baton Rouge with pitchforks if he turned over the keys to the team to Nickleberry.

I've been watching basketball for about seventy years. Never saw a "Technical" for six men on the court prior to yesterday.
"Ridiculous" is a good definition.

Stupid fouls were part of the whole season. I appreciated the fact that we finally made a defensive effort this season, but not without getting all of the key players on the bench in foul trouble.

Can we go back and retro ban our post season. Complete garbage. We will never here from most of these guys ever again except maybe Eason but I doubt it b/c he doesn’t have the IQ and maybe Shareef and/or Fudge if they get a good coach to teach them fundamentals
