You think Nick Saban cares about what 247 says or the other way around?

You think he gave a frick what Josh Jacobs was a 3 star? You really think Saban ever NEEDS to take a 3 star?

It a dumb argument to put recruiting ranking over actual performance.

Especially when the two players were rated that far apart.

Why do the best college coaches and programs recruit and primarily field 4 and 5 star recruits if it doesn’t matter?

There are 385 4 and 5 star Players.

Anyone who shows up to a camp and is 6” plus gets a 4Th star.

Why do you think NFL teams still draft 3 and 2 stars if there are clearly enough 4 and 5 stars to fill every roster spot.

Answer please.

Or do you want to stick by your made up stats?

You think Saban evaluates every high school player across the USA personally? Lord child you are special.

Nope. In fact I don’t think Saban gives two shits about star rankings. How ironic is it though that those very highly ranked players end up on his team? If there is no correlation at all, why isn’t his team full of unranked and 2-3 star guys? You see how fricking stupid you’d sound? I don’t understand how someone can be so dumb.

Because there are always exceptions. Joe, Clyde, and many many others from D2 on up. Hell look at Carson Wentz. But as you may recall from a previous post, YOU only deal in absolutes. Member? I do.

Heart? Slipped through the cracks? Under-evaluated? Under-rated? There are a million variables. That doesn’t change the fact that the overwhelming majority of highly ranked players coming out of high school will make it to the NFL, while the opposite is just not true no matter how bad you wanna spin it. Sorry lil bud.

Stop there.

Never said that, I said It’s stupid to pretend they mean more than actual football careers.

And the NFL doesn’t give a frick about them.

Go look at the first round. It’s a lot different than any recruiting rankings.

Great

But that’s not the fricking point

The point is being a 5 star recruit doesn’t make you better if you’re NOT BETTER.

Marshall isn’t gonna get some kind of pass because he was a 5 star and Chase was a 4 star. NFL teams aren’t going to care.

You think he has a large enough staff to evaluate every high school football player nationwide? Got it RETARD

And who said they did? The correlation between the two is a fact. Deny it all you want. Doesn’t change a thing

No I dont. Which is why they mostly recruit from camps.

You think 247 hs enough employees to evaluate EVERY player in the country?

How much money do you think they make?

We’re you 100% wrong about 90% of players in the NFL being 4 and 5 stars?

Did you own up to that shite?

Have you presented any real facts?

While I think they are both top 5 WRs in next year's draft, I have never seen a WR do what Chase did last year to every team's #1 CB.

This was the 2020 draft for CBs LSU played against and Chase's stats in those games:

#2 Henderson - Florida (7 catches, 127 yds, 2 TDs)
#3 Terrell - Clemson (9 catches, 221 yds, 2 TDs)
#5 Igbinoghene - AU (8 catches, 123 yds)
#8 Diggs - Bama (6 catches, 140 yds, 1 TD)

All top 10 teams at the time they played. I am not saying Chase was only guarded by these guys, but it goes to show you that with high level NFL talent on the other side, he was still putting up video game numbers. Very few WRs can legit take over a game and Chase is one that can consistently. Marshall showed a glimpse of that against Mizzou so it will be interesting to see what he does against some of the tougher competition.
