Neyland will be packed and if tennessee can win out theyll be bowl elgible, they’re playing for something, and will likely have a fire that they haven’t had in a while. We should still be able to handle them, but it’s nothing to overlook.

Did it occur to anyone that they have the same staff as last week minus Lyle? Same playcallers, same players, same S&C coaches, etc.

It's not like they revamp their offense in a week and all of a sudden are worldbeaters.

Don't sweat it, we got this.

Lol. I'm no positiger, but we are facing not only the worst offense in the SEC statistically, but a defense that just gave up over 400 rushing yards to fricking Mizzou. There is no reason to be scared of the Vols in the slightest.

LSU isn't good enough to just "show up" and beat an SEC team. If nothing else, there will be a little more juice in the crowd as long as the game is close. Plus, the interim coach has absolutely nothing to lose. Even though it was pretty evident he was gone, Jones was likely still calling the game somewhat tight. Tennessee will probably (and should) throw the kitchen sink at LSU.

While not a great team, UT still has enough individual talent to make plays. They only have one game left after LSU (Vandy). So I suspect if they are ever going to get up for a game emotionally, this is it.

Ogeron MUST have LSU ready to play. If they are, then LSU is the better team. If not, things could get dicey on the road. I remember the 1999 LSU team. They were winless in the SEC going into the last game of the season. Dinardo had just been fired after losing, at home, to Houston. Nonetheless, LSU shows up in the season finale vs. a 7-3 Arkansas team ranked #17 and absolutely crushes the Hogs 35-10. UT will be as emotionally invested in the game Sat. as they have been in weeks.

I wish they had waited to fire Butch Jones until after our game with them. Sometimes, those interim coaches come in and get a fire lit. I heard an early weather forecast that calls for 45 degree weather and 60% chance of rain. Maybe that'll keep the attendance down somewhat. If LSU limits turnovers to no more than one, they should be able to win with their running attack. Tennessee is really banged up and down to their third stringer at QB. I heard their best receiver is playing with a bum ankle. That being said, LSU does have to show up and play hard, or this is a game they could easily lose. Any SEC team has talent that can beat you if you're not playing at full speed.

How can anything be considered a given following the Troy debacle?

Still have highly recruited players on that team-they can play so don't think it's going to be easy.

LSU played really well after firing both Dinardo and Miles. Won both times.

Remember that year we were favored by a lot and that 'Washington' kid went off? Let's not let that happen again.

Through 10 games, Tennessee is dead last in the SEC in rushing defense and dead last in total offense. Firing their head coach isn't going to change those facts.

Agree with you...but
I always thought the firing would be a "cover their arse" move.

He lost KY and Fla by ONE play each and I felt that the DC was more the problem .... I know the "crap" flows upward, but I think either the DC sucks, or the talent does for SEC play.

with those two wins, TN would be bowl eligible.

The AL and GA losses tell me that TN does not have the personnel ... maybe recruiting, developing, or injuries ???
