LSU loses a couple of road games early, gets hot, wins a sloppy one in Knoxville in November. Ends the season as the best team in the country. Only this time there’s a playoff.

That 2006 team would have had a rematch with Florida had there been a playoff.

I don’t hate that comp. We lost a game on the road that year to a generational QB and a game on the road to ref frickery. Just like this year.

Only difference was we had the #1 pick at QB lol

LSU would have waxed Florida’s arse in the SECCG had we not gotten boned at Auburn

And Arkansas still was the team that got in that year. Auburn got their asses kicked at home by them. Right after they hosed us.

many nailbiters that year. whats new with miles.

game winning drive at end at tenner. needed a 4th down conversion in drive to keep it going. TD pass at end from Jrock

pulled ole miss game out our arse. last minute game tying drive. 4th down TD pass to dwayne bowe. won in OT

who knows how much xanax i woulda taken that year and 07 if i had it.

That season literally came down to making a handful of plays, much like this season has been so far.

We single-handedly put out the fire that was Arkansas that season. They lose to USC by like 8 touchdowns and then proceed to muck everyone up with McFadden and Jones. We stopped that train and then they stayed derailed.

2006 was an extremely physical football team. The proof? Look at the teams that beat us the week after…Auburn loses to Arkansas. Florida loses to Auburn. Arkansas gets embarrassed by Florida. Without a doubt, 2006 LSU was a wrecking ball to play.
