but a sense of urgency is not one of his strong points.
other than giving the fans a sigh of relief, is there really a sense of urgency? I'd rather him get it right than doing something quick...just for the sake of doing it quick.

did he directly call up this year?
something Jack Del Rio did after Saban's FIRST year at LSU. but that guy would never ever have any interest at the LSU head job per the rant.

Would be a great fit...historially good D's at Tenn (held us to 1 offiensive TD in SEC Title game)...knows the SEC...knows how to coach LB's & DL's...let Mallory go back to DB's and make him Assoc Head Coach...while Bradley Dale takes a DC job elsewhere

Verge?
That'd be my guess.

No, I guess that phrase doesn't exactly say what I mean.
I don't find him to be very pro-active and/or quick to identify the need for change.
Kind of stubborn, hard-headed with a great deal of persevearance.
Don't get me wrong, he's a quality guy.
I just don't see him feeling pressure enough to affect change. But, he may be practical enough to realize that under the current economic conditions, it will be necessary.
He's definitely not a pride swallower, and contacting Orgeron might fall into that category.
