I and my younger brother played for the Garafola family in the early mid 80's on the Bengals. A family dedicated to public service did not deserve such a tragedy. With all of the pomp and circumstance in the prior week mourning the death of a two-time felon, I hope there is far more for Deputy Garafola and Officers Gerald and Jackson - true heroes - men who dedicated their lives, literally, to protecting us. Will Leonard Fournette be sporting a T-shirt with their pictures on social media...will Simone Augustus be honoring their lives of public service at her next game...will President Obama be inviting their families to participate in a "Town Hall"...Will the Black Lives Matter movement march in memory of Officer Jackson, Officer Gerald or Deputy Garafola...Will the protestors from New Orleans who so gleefully marched on Baton Rouge be publicly honoring these assassinated officers...Will the new BR chapter of the Black Panther Party be offering financial support to these now fatherless families?
I saw that yesterday, but it is more about where to get a good steak and a run down on the bars...As our sons are 11 & 12 repsoectivley, it will be a whiel before my brother and I will be bar hoping with them...For example: where is a good place to eat a burger before the game, where on campus are we most likely to find the LSU tailgaters, that sort of info.
LSU 17
UF 10

Both offenses are weak in the pass game, we are a little better in teh run game and our D is significantly better than theirs...slow, methodical, in the trenches ground game that LSU wins because or D and ST will give our O short field opportunities...
I am going to the game with my son (11), brother and nephew (12) - what are the must do's in Gainesville aon gameday?
I will be coming in with my brother, and my sone & nephew (latter are 11 and 12)...and we'll be looking for some friendly purple & gold faces...

Going with my 11 yo son, my brother and my 12 yo nephew...any suggestions?
Searles was biggest loss in coaching staff in last 3 years...but the entire depth chart has an averge weight of 301 lbs...and has too many 270-290 guys...
If these guys are soooo good...why didn't that play this year...neither Center impressed me, Guards - Dworaczyk was subpar for the SEC..Hurst was a OK, what little we saw, but still I did not see any gaping holes in the middle when he was in there, Tackle is a nightmare - Barksdale got beat regularly and will continue to do so and if Faulk were so good to go to LT, why wasn't he at RT this year in place of Barksdale...AND only 3 of the starting 5 are over 300 lbs..which is just not big enough in the SEC these days.
Noone out there...Damien Robinson is a top 25 OL on Rivals which says this about him:
Conclusion: Physically big enough to compete right now, so he may see playing time early on depending on the depth chart. Do not be surprised if he is cross-trained as an right offensive tackle/offensive guard in order to get his size and strength on the field earlier. Robinson could become a real road grader as a run blocker before his career is over.

Also - look at all the people after him!

I have - which is why I am worried...how many 300 pounders on that depth chart? Does anyone think that Barksdale can play LT in the SEC when who routinely got beat at RT? both C's are undersized...Did Josh "Jurassic" push anyone off the line of scrimmage for a crutial yard? Black won the blocker award itn eh SEC but it was obviuously a career award as he did not play up to his potential...Again too many sacks and no running game...That means weak O-line

WHY IS NOONE WORRIED ABOUT THE O-LINE?

Posted by LawyerDan on 1/22/10 at 11:03 am
It seems that everyone focuses on the skill positions, but the weakness of the 09 team was the O-Line...we gave up a ton of sacks and could not control the line of scrimmage against anyone this year...remember when we could always get a yard on the ground...that is why we could go fo it on 4th and short...noone seems to have cared that we lost the big JC guy to Neb...Does anyone (besides me) covet Damien Rabinson from MS (6'8" 330") who is reportedly strong enough to start as a true freshman - the next coming of Herman Johnson!

everyone says WR WR WR...but why is noone worried about OL...after losing the big JC kid to Neb...I want Damien Robinson from MS 6'8" 33"...Rivals says he is big and strong enough to play now...it doesn't matter how good our WR's are if the QB is running for his life or on the ground...weren't we one of th emost sacked teams in the conference...we gave up sacks to even our nonconference opponents

re: Cassius Marsh rumblings

why would Marsh go to a program about to go on probation...Carroll was the only thing holding back the NCAA..Kiffin is more like a lightning rod for sanctions
What about Damien Robinson the big OL from MS?...still listing LSU as a Med interest and currently uncommitted...I would love to get this gigantic guy who could be the next Herman Johnson... LINK

Two letters...B & S...miles will not fire Mallory, but rather move him back to DB's & make him Assoc Head Coach, let Bradley Dale leave, like he should have in January, then hire a real DC, who has SEC experience and who can scheme...Chavis is the natural choice...and it would make sense to do that before the Music City Bowl

re: Lets be realistic

O might be fiery...but Bradley Dale is already that...we need someon who can scheme a D...The best available is Chavis...Kiffin was stupid to let him go...he could have kept Chavis and let him run the D and keep the O for himself...

Would be a great fit...historially good D's at Tenn (held us to 1 offiensive TD in SEC Title game)...knows the SEC...knows how to coach LB's & DL's...let Mallory go back to DB's and make him Assoc Head Coach...while Bradley Dale takes a DC job elsewhere
