This year’s LSU defense is the worst LSU defense since 1999..

[quote]It looked to me, after a second watch of the game, like Damone Clark and some others just aren't even playing hard. Which I don't understand at all, not gonna lie.

Is there something more sinister going on here? I wonder if the entire defense can be that mentally challenged. I'm about sick of 2 words "fix it".

Will Ponamsky go back to staging Coach’s TJ Ribs call in show? The blooms have fallen off the Natty rose.

2 more wins will be tough.

If LSU can’t beat South Carolina, there’s a good chance we don’t win another game.

Pelini came to my office and said, “ Coach, I’m going to get it fixed”. I do sincerely believe he will.

This loss is on me—Coach O.
The euphoria of the greatest season of all time has been replaced by the 1-2 record and the 2 worst defensive performances in any fan’s memory so it sounds good to say this is on me; however, with this being a 10 game season, I still got paid $600,000 for each of those losses and my defensive genius buddy Bo got $230,000 each loss, and ol’ loyal Steve E got $100,000 each loss and Scott “I can’t call a third down play” Linehan got $80,700 for each loss and that’s just the top 4 coaches so we doing good....all that’s on me, geaux Tigahs! Coach O

I would bet my life he's at least thought of bringing in Norm Chow.

no no theres a point. it was to recruit nussmeier. linehan was nussmeier dads coach at idaho and they worked together when linehan was still with the cowboys. thats it. thats his only reason for being on staff. otherwise itd be a lot harder to recruit nussmeier without that "in" that linehan has. like how patrick surtain jr committed to bama after his dad was "interviewed" by saban for a position.

That is one of the main things that’ was mentioned when O hired Linehan, but doesn’t that speak to the incorrect mentality that perhaps developed in the past and led Coach O to do something that critical but completely unnecessary.
It’s like he forgot that he was just unanimous coach of the year, this is still LSU, we had just won the undisputed national championship and had the bragging rights to a perfect 15-0 season which most admit was the greatest College football season of all time.
Why should he feel the need to compromise all that and chance a total flop this year just to get a commitment from a player who might eventually not even come here, if he does come here, he might not stay and if he stays, he might not play; hiring Linehan for all that uncertainty and risk is just not good thinking,

Oh? So you you are present in the meetings and coaching discussions during the week?

The fact that it isn't fixed is not the same as nobody is "trying" to fix it.

We suck. That's the truth.

Being 1-2 is one thing, being 1-2 to the 3 worst teams on our schedule is alarming.

I hope "fixing it" doesn't equal O bringing in more of his buddies from USC.

Seriously, don't let this happen.
