Good point bringing up pregame. You have to wonder how much that Simmons encounter may have affected the team when things didn't come easy for the first time. He was in on just about every tackle and he let our offensive line know it with his trash talking on every play.
When a guy talks like that one of two things happen. He can't back it up and the team suffers or he leads with his play and the rest of the team follows him. Unfortunately, we had no answers for him and their whole team fed off of it.
