tell me why LSU will be dominant on the lines on '16

Coaching hires and recruiting is great, but the turnaround we seek starts at the LOS. Will LSU be able to hold it's own against the big boys this season? What will change?

you might be right.
There is an argument to be made for the DL, though. Year two under O. Great class coming in...
I don't see it on the Oline until at least '17.

nothing will change... we'll be lucky to go 10-2... and miles supporters will still be blaming the quarterbacks instead of miles... it is truly a wonderful time to be an LSU fan.

We return our entire two-deep on the DL... that should be good enough reason for you there.
OL is a little bit more of a question mark. Would certainly have been nice to have Hawkins come back for his senior season, and it's TBD if Gordon gets his medical redshirt. Overall we'll probably take a small step back on the OL next year, but hopefully Brandon Harris can take the next step and make defenses back off the LOS to offset it.

and some of you are so fricking stupid that you can't spot that LSU's offense has been almost identical for 8 of miles' 11 years.

Pocic has all the tools to be a dominant LT. Clapp and Teuhema played very well last year and will be another year stronger. Weathersby looked like he can fill in for Alexander with no drop off. Center is a question mark, but Grimes has been recruiting his arse off. We are as deep as we've ever been.

I like Weathersby, but that's a tall order.

2nd year of Coach O with experienced starters returning paired with a stud d-line class to provide depth. Additionally, our new DC uses a scheme that is designed to confuse O-lines and create one on one mismatches which we have the talent to exploit.
On offense, we finally get to see coach grimes with his guys that he's personally recruited and developed.

You do realize our 2015 offense was one of the best we've ever had at LSU, right?
And 2013 was the best.
ETA: Penalty yardage really hurt LSU this year. That's something they need to do better.

Look back at the recruiting on the O Line the past 2 offseasons, and what we have coming in this year. Pocic should make a much better tackle than center, and Clapp and Tehuma were freaking freshmen. Do you idiots think they suck? They held their own in all but three games, and were awesome against UF. Maybe you guys haven't noticed, but Bama and Ole Miss had great D Lines this season. Both are losing a lot of talent along their font 7s, and our guys will have another year of seasoning and conditioning.
We have great depth at guard. If Clapp or Dodd can step forward at Center, guard should be fine. It's all about finding a right tackle to play opposite Pocic, and between Valentine and Weathersby, the talent is there. Honestly, any of these guys should be an upgrade over Alexander who, while he a great guard, was not even a good tackle, especially in pass protection.
I think anyone who doesn't expect the O Line to be more physical next season is blind to facts because of a negative agenda.

It would simply be a total homer pick to say we will be dominant in the lines next year.
Our DL will be good but had routinely been susceptible to the power game. That isn't to say they will be bad, just not dominant.
On OL, there is simply no rational reason to predict dominance.

There is plenty. You have just decided to dismiss it.

As opposed to all those no loss or 1 loss LSU teams prior to miles right? Lmao
Either a fan of another team posing as an LSU fan, or just one dumb MF. I tell ya what OD...name all the 1 or no loss teams prior to miles....now get your arse back to stocking the shelves.

Oh no, I've noticed the last few years
And I don't necessarily disagree that we may not see the appropriate changes needed to contend
But you're still miserable
Eta the offense isn't even remotely close to identical over 11 years. It's just not.
