If I was State I'm making two calls. Elander and Orloff

Is the DBU guy, Heefner, being looked at?

I do not have my finger on the CBB pulse, but I would think other than maybe a dozen HCs, every one is in play for a job like State's.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one. Wee Johnson has to be a guy they’re highly interested in. Hard for me to believe he would turn down State to stay at UGA.

Nick Mingione would be a name I could see being thrown around for the job. He’s done more with less with the cats.

dan is a good coach.. would be a solid hire... but I think Miss st is a big job and could get better...

id go after osullivan, he wants out of Florida.... could go after cliff at east Carolina., viginia coach.... duke coach... or Kentucky coach... i think they they need to go big on this one...

Goodwin was mentioned during the JJ hiring, has established ECU pretty relevant in the college baseball world.

TCU, A&M, and Texas have allegedly all made runs at him over the years and he hasn’t moved. Doesn’t seem to be interested in bigger jobs.
His situation is unique in that he’s very religious and being at DBU allows him to run his program almost as a ministry. Can’t really do that at larger public schools. Also has younger kids and at least one son on the DBU roster.

If Cohen was still AD I'd say he'd be one of the contenders

Not sure he wants that smoke now, he's pretty burrowed in at Kentucky. His family and the AD's family are really close.

OZ is the man but State like they are so superior to USM and would never make this hire unfortunately because as you stated OZ is the best pitching coach in the country and and great head coach as well. Would be a home run for State.

Would be a good solid hire! Not a home run! You need someone to take the balls and some that throws a lot of balls lol
