they helped build the narrative that if it was not Herman or Jimbo, it should be O. Not even beginning to acknowledge the large gaps in resumes between O and pretty much anyone else. The fact that they could shrug off guys like Gundy yet build O up was beyond me. I mean say what you want about Gundy, that guy has accomplished much more than O has.

O should not have even cracked the top 20 for guys up for this job. Probably not top 50.

O gave them access that they didn't have under Miles, he has since pulled it back. And they bought the narrative of "he's our guy, he talks like us" line.

Was T-Bob even here when O was hired? I feel like Hunt was there all of football season.

T-Bob was never fully on the Coach O bus. Yes, I realize that O and his father grew up in the same town. T-Bob was very vocal about a change needing to happen at LSU. I don't think that change was specifically Coach O becoming the LSU HC.

I still put most of the blame on Alleva when it comes to this situation. First for not firing Miles after the TAMU game back in 2015. But also not opening up the coaching search passed Herman, Jimbo or Coach O. God forbid, you have a 4th or 5th option when trying to replace a guy who won 100+ games at LSU.

Jesus Christ. Just cough up the buyout and send this dipshit packing. Not even worth letting the season play out.

That was one of the worst Monday pressers I’ve heard. I don’t think Miles had one as bad as this

oh trust me, no argument here.

like I've said....O was either alleva's man from the start which is why they kept lowering the bar for him to crawl over or Alleva panicked, saw enough of our idiot fan base was going to accept O as coach, so he made that move to save face. Then "hoped and prayed" the pay coordinators a lot because your HC is a moron model worked.

He's trying to duck and hide right now. The deal is he better be able to answer the hard questions when LSU gets it's arse handed to them by UF & Auburn.

Also, the people who keep saying that we need to "relax" need to realize that this situation isn't going to get any better. TAMU,Ole Miss & Tenn are about to hire new HC's. What happens when they grab better coaches than the head guy at LSU.

No and I don't blame him.

I'd keep my head in the sand as long as possible. Granted, the BR media has already started to circle the wagons.
