Really. You people. If you want to be the best you have to beat the best.

It doesn't matter who they play they have to beat them. Plain and simple

In the regionals you don't want to face an Ace pitcher, but in the super regionals, with the 3-game series, what you don't want is the streaking team with red hot bats.

Yea you are rite we gotta beat who ever it is but there are some teams you woul rather play once in Omaha rather than 3 times in a super

LSU can beat any team out there when it comes down to it. LSU has a great lineage of battering "ace pitchers" throughout post season. Sure there are exceptions, but by and large, when the big game's are on the line, the Tigers can beat anyone.

Of course that's true but this is a thread about who could cause the most problems. In a short series it's nearly always going to be a team who's pitching can eliminate your hitting advantages.

I'd rather face a team with a .305 team BA and pound it out with them then one with 2-3 dominant pitchers on their staff

Normally I don't think anyone would be overjoyed at having to face pitchers like Rodon or Appel, but there's a serious dropoff in talent after those two.

None worry me all that much other than Florida State. They seem to be the team this year that on paper aren't anything special but somehow they just win and win and win.

this is encouraging. LSU has a perfect record against flotsam and jetsam.
