Team Leadership Seems to be Emerging -

Kelvin 11 calls Team Meeting, basically tells everyone to get their head out of their A$$. Asking team to take full responsibility for performance, NOT CLM. They've got his back. Only way to not be the Laughing Stock of College FB is win, proving ESPN and the other talking heads wrong.
Barksdale, T-Bob, TTolliver, speak their minds trying to get younger guys focused to eliminate mistakes - also publicly accepting responsibility.
JLee repeatedly seen telling offense, It's time, and I'm gonna get you there. His arm waving to the Student Section getting them behind him after his pass to RRandle was spot on.
This is the 1st time since 2007 I've seen an LSU team possess anything remotely resembling Team Leaders. May be sipping the Kool-Aid here, but there seems to be a storm brewing in Death Valley. Us against the world.

Hate to tell you but we were still the laughingstock of college FB last weekend.
And I disagree. If anything i would say the leadership is more fractured than ever.

Kelvin is slowly climbing up my list of all time favorites.

Why do you say this?

Not sure the meeting has happened yet, but it's my understanding that Shep won't hesitate to get on someone, on either side of the ball, in a mtg or on the sideline. Drake too.
08 had its issues, but I thought we rebounded last yr and that paved the way for what you're saying now.

Please give us the source of that. Which player told you? What exactly did he say?
Thanks.

How many times has Barksdale been called for holding and false starts this year? How many passes has TT dropped? I'm not sure if they should be the ones encouraging the younger players to eliminate mistakes. But I see this as a good sign . Them getting the us against the world attitude.

That would be the best outcome of the situation this team finds itself facing.
Whether it is coaching miscues, blown assignments, dropped passes, interceptions, fumbles or dumb penalties, a strong internal team leadership will help overcome the problems that arise.
I also think team leadership has been lacking over the past two seasons for the football team.
It always takes self policing to straighten things out, the coaches can only do so much.
The senior leadership on a team has to take the steps to make everyone toe the line.
This team has a lot of young players who need the guidance of the older, more experienced players.

The quarterback situation, T-Bob snapping the ball of his own initiative, the whole OC/HC who's responsible stuff.
Sure, there's some great guys demonstrating some great leadership skills but there's not a solid sense of ONE person you can look at who has it all together.

IF that's what happened in the team meeting and the guys manned up and took ownership of their mistakes, i agree that this team is gonna improve greatly and has a chance to be a damn strong football team.

How do you know this? Are you a player? Do you have some deep inside information?
TIA
