Good decision by him. Realistically he's not getting any better by staying another year. He is what he is. He's not a top end talent, but he's a solid college RB. If he can have Darrell Williams NFL career, that would be a huge win.

I doubt most of them care honestly. A lot of them now are just mercenaries anyways.

Still don't have to agree to it nor understand it.

FYI, this is a LSU message board.

Good luck, but I think he's making a big mistake.

Best of luck to the young man. He was a great Tiger who waited his turn and didn’t give up on the season like some others did. I wish he was playing in the bowl game because he’s a good player, but I don’t fault him for protecting himself at this point.

Not unexpected but not a smart move. He’s got to prove he can be a factor catching the ball. There was no way both he and Emery were coming back.

Am I the only one sick of seeing players and coaches right letters to Tiger Nation. Just leave, I can see a Devin White type of player, but mediocre guys writing letters seems corny.

I agree. If there was a way for them to skip college and play without going to school, most would do it ala the NBA G League.

Big mistake. Late round pick to undrafted FA at best.

Groupie mentality. Most of these kids do not think for themselves. Either some idiots convinced him to leave now, or he sees everybody else doing it and thinks it's the best thing to do.

I see one person say, wear and tear, where??? Where has the wear and tear come from? To not play in the bowl game means he's not even giving himself the chance to put any more tape out there before he goes to the combine. I never expected him to come back, but I did expect him to play in this game.

ETA: Alabama's RB has also been mediocre at best this year, but look at what he's giving the scouts a chance to look at? Being a playoff game aside, he is putting on his best game of his career right now. LSU would have tried to run TDP to another 200 yard game.

Within the next 2 years, you’ll have star players opting out of playoff games. Book it. Too many people whispering in these kids’ ears.

What? He won’t even get drafted. He prob won’t even make a practice squad. He’s about to ruin his career just like Malachi Dupre did a few years ago.
