Has been quiet about the game until the top of the hour break 30 min ago. They are hearing the possibility of LSU playing South Alabama on 10/29

South Alabama has a league game on the 29th, don't know how that will work at all!!! Wishful thinking that scenario won't happen.

No he didn't, he said that he wasn't in favor of it. Unlike how firm he was on a 11/19 home game.

Per Alleva:
"We have an open date before the Alabama game," Alleva said. "I'm not in favor of playing a game on that day, unless Alabama also plays a game on that day."

I think Alleva made it about as clear as possible. We are playing a home game on November 19. The interesting thing though he didn't say what team it would be. Whatever happened in those meeting last week has Alleva pissed and he's standing his ground.

LSU probably pays a little better than their homecoming take.

USA has homecoming on the 29th

Yep, and I do believe it's a conference game for them. So the Florida folks are expecting a second conference (and what's the number of teams up to now...five?) to make concessions for their mistake?

Skankey, can and should end this now! Grow some balls and do the right thing, hand UF a forfeit and let everyone move on. Foley did this and you let it happen!

It's a conference game for S. Alabama. And it's not about money, because they get paid if LSU cancels the 11/19 game. S. Alabama is under no obligation to reschedule for LSU's (in)convenience.

SU @ Arkansas 10/29

LSU @ Florida 11/19

South Alabama @ LSU 11/12
That would work for me. Unfortunately, probably too many moving parts.

That seems like a reasonable solution.

Lsu did everything possible to get it done Florida said no.

So they should be forced to forfeit and everyone should move on.

I know it's been said over and over, but Florida should forfeit the game. I didn't really pay attention when all the details were going on Thursday through Saturday. We were preparing for the worst. But by all reports, the bad weather would be out by Saturday at the latest. The game should have been played Sunday or today. Hell if the storm did loop back, then cancel it outright.

I agree. It would also set a precedent on teams refusing to play in the future.

Maybe Florida wants this and are floating it to make LSU look like the bad guy for turning it down.

Florida has been doing this since Joe offered the game to come to B.R. last Saturday or to play Sunday or Monday.

This game will not be played, period.
