It would be catastrophic to keep him at this point. The fans will be disappointed, hypercritical, or even worse--indifferent. Miles would seem like a lame duck barring a miracle season, and lord knows what recruits would think.
If Herman or Fedora or whoever is hired, then LSUs inability to get the coach it wanted would be plain for all to see. Some would be excited but many fans would be shocked to fire Les for an unknown.

Les was absolutely offered the UM job in 07. Les absolutely feigned flirting with Arky to strong arm a raise after a mediocre year which pissed off Alleva and started the road to now.

No no banned. Lol I hardly post enough to get that done. Like I said. I am not on here saying "book it". Lol. Just saying what I was told. My first time ever having a source and just found out I had one. Said les fired last week, was close in jimbo but Lsu balked at paying his buy out and now negotiating with Houston coach. Also told that could be ploy to get jimbo to give a little if he really wants it. My source was a retired asst AD at another Sec school. I have full faith in this but you know how that goes. Lol.

Supposedly Patterson has oil wells with his name on them in Texas. He's not coming here. Now what happened with Jimbo? He was just trolling us for more money?
