Watching the U of Tn Kiffin played every freshman he could get into the game and they did their thing either running the ball or knocking the shite out of someone. Why recruit the best and keep them on the sideline? That is the very reason some youngsters went to U of Tn to play and contribute. Just because they are under classmen don't mean they can perform.

He can afford to play them at home against a horrible team that just started playing D-1A football. And they'll play a lot this year since they are rebuilding while getting the crap beat out of them.

I'm not so sure they wouldn't have put up 500 yds offense on us Saturday.

We all but made Crompton look like football Jedi in 06.

That has nothing to do with the original question. UW didn't need true freshmen.

Weren't they winning by 50. Come on man, be serious. I agree we should get the younger players in to gain experience, just not when the ame is still in question. Yes, the outcome of Sat nights game was in question for me for the majority of the game.

These young guys will get on the field this season. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Shep this Sat.

When the game is that close, why risk putting them in? Sure they might make a big play and gain confidence, but they're much more likely to not play well and lose confidence.

I don't really see the reason for throwing them in when you don't have to. If you are up by 50 or 60 like UT then, fine, let 'em go.

Looks like our starters needed to get the kinks out anyway.

Are you a real idiot, or do you just play one on the rant?

Don't forget everyone, true freshmen are the key to a successful season! Unless you're playing all freshmen, then you're not going anywhere.

congrats to kiffin for trying to run the score up to 70 in the final seconds of the game. That was classless and glad he is not here at LSU.

Brice Brown startted and they were rotated in and out.

Agree with previous comments. At home versus a very weak opponent is very different than being on the road against a PAC 10 team. BTW, didn't Kiffen screw up JaMarcus Russell's career?

So I guess if Shepard was in the game the defense would have been stout and we would have posted 50+ points.

Good to know

UT blew donkey nuts last year. you tend to start/play a shitload of true freshman when you don't have hardly any other talent on your team.

These were the terms negotiated with Browns handler before he signed his 3 year deal......I mean Letter of Intent.

the best players are always the ones on the bench, esp. QB's. same thing in baseball. miles will work our freshmen in when he thinks its the best time to do so. we need to run more than 48 damn plays.

when he hits the meat of his SEC schedule that 1st game score will keep his national average up for future recruiting BS.

There should be a minimum number of posts to start threads on this board. Do you really think that Tennessee's upperclassmen are as good as LSU's? There is a reaason freshman are playing at UT.

I think you are on to something.. I think most kids look forward to losing playing time as Jrs & Srs to incoming true freshman.. excellent way to build and maintain a top notch program.
