2026 Parking Map

This is my first time going to an LSU game that, let's just say matters.

Previously, I really could only afford to go to games against opponents where fans are gone by halftime. So there has never been a scenario where I had to get to campus by a certain time or need to fight for a tailgate spot. Until this year.

Got season tickets and want to tailgate at Old Front Nine 2 Lot (formerly day of parking, now reserved). Got my parking ticket, check.

I understand the lot opens at 7am. I will be there at 7 am with my popup tent and all the things that are allowed.

What I specifically want to know is: are the spots numbered? Do you park then go find a tailgate spot in grass? Do you tailgate next to your vehicle? Just wondering if anyone knows specifically about this lot that can help out.

Any other tips/tricks would be heavily appreciated!

Love the Tigahs. This year is going to be something special. I can just feel it.

Probably this. I parked there last year & they had workers telling you where to park (wasn’t there at 7am). It looks like it is all paved parking now so may be a little different this year

Yea, really only doing 7am because I figured with Lane Kiffin, College Gameday, 50-million-dollar portal class, things maybe more "in demand" than prior years. I guess just better safe than sorry mentality on that.

I am not able to help with your question, but your post made me think - is the golf course going to be open for people that want to set up a tailgate? Would be kind of sick to set up shop on hole 16 under those trees. Maybe bring some shag balls out there and hit at the green. Hopefully they allow it. Haven't even driven past the course since it closed, so no clue if it's even in good enough shape to be walked on.

Yea, and you know, that is similar to my issue. I live in Metairie so really don't have a chance to go see what these lots look like now. To at least have a plan. Have to just trust LSU site posts good info. I know so much has changed even since last year.

The 10-story parking garage will never be ready in time.

But seriously though, thanks for sharing. My area is seemingly still a hidden gem of free parking. I have to get out there at 7am each tailgate, but the drive home is always a breeze.

I don't believe much has changed with your lot, and I don't believe it's terribly hard to get to. Sounds like you're getting in at 7am, so you'll be more than fine. The folks managing the gates at each lot are usually very helpful and friendly if you go to the wrong spot, too.

We used to tailgate under the oak trees between that lot and Lot 400. Not sure if they are still letting people set up under those, but it was nice to get under the trees in the shade especially early in the season. I would try there first.

Thank you for that!
