Im not entitled
Ive never paid the first dime
Its not my dirt

However if it were me and I set up somewhere for the first time, and someone came up and in a friendly manner said, hey man we've been taligating here for blablablabla.... I would say no problem, I'll move over.
Espec if they were there at 7am and I showed up 3-4-5 hrs later.

Why cant you understand that?
It seems to me, you're the one being a dick.. with this its a free fuking country attitude.

I find this thread funny. Just watch out - they may start selling tailgate spots. Think about it?

Just start tailgating at 4 am on saturday, and when BT doesn't show up by 5, move his shite and claim it. I mean, he's not there by 5, that's bullshite!!

I'm sure he won't have a problem with this philosophy. Oh and why is the P&G flag not so surprising here?

I also find this thread hilarious and could easily see someone taking BT's spot because of it.

Weve talked about that for few yrs now...You just wait.
2 yrs 3 yrs, hell maybe 10 yrs.
Its all about money. If they can do it legally and make money its just a matter of time. Watch and see.

I was talking about this with my friends while we were tailgating for the SG. We were talking about how this was the closest we've ever tailgated to the stadium and how we needed to make it our permanent spot.

Somebody joked and said that if TAF would start selling tailgating spots we wouldn't be able to afford a spot on the campus proper. If that ever happens I'm never going to another LSU game again.

ETA: I don't think it's too much of a stretch to believe they'd do it.

And he admits to setting up in the sidewalk, so we all have to walk through his tailgate to get to where we're going. Or can I not use the sidewalk since you "claimed" it already?

I love how those brandishing the "free country" argument are complaining about his right to fly a flag. Hypocrisy at its finest.

I see nothing wrong with charging for prime tailgating spots around the stadium. The real issue is enforcement would be impossible and unrealistic.

I think alumni should get preferential spots over non-alumni.

Total fuking guess though.

Don't you start this crap. if you put ideas in the heads of some guys that run things at TAF or LSU, then I may have to remortgage my house.

I'm glad I don't tailgate. This thread shows me some of our fans are little prissy drama queens that get their panties in a wad if someone takes their spot that isn't theirs.

Then you would have no problem if you walk up at 4:31 and someone had beaten you there, if only by a minute?

quote:

However if it were me and I set up somewhere for the first time, and someone came up and in a friendly manner said, hey man we've been taligating here for blablablabla.... I would say no problem, I'll move over.

That is great. But what if you felt like they could find a new spot just as easily as you could, and you were there first?

quote:

If they won't, well then strength are in numbers.. and as far as the situation Im in...50>6.

Would you feel like this guy is justified in trying to physically remove you from the spot.

Espec if they were there at 7am and I showed up 3-4-5 hrs later.

Why the caveat? Just answer this question. Who should get the spot, the person who shows up first at the free lot, or the guy who has supposedly been tailgating there for years, except for that Tulane game last year, and a couple other times he just couldn't make it?

your post tells me that you dont know WTF you are talking about.
If you did tailgate.... you would understand. You dont, so how about just mind your own fuking business.
You dont see me going over to the MSB and engaging in a debate over NBA playoffs.
