Beginning of the game? Have you ever tried to get in the game through the student gate? Slow af.

There is a pic in this thread from Saturday that says you're full of shite. I've been to enough big games from 2003 on to know that's bullshite. Any proof besides you're apparently super selective memory?

2. The south endzone expansion has taken away the video screen so you can't see replays from dead underneath the video board.
3. The volume is so loud for the new audios syetm, that you risk permanent hearing loss from sitting there.
Of all the reasons I've read on here for the last 4 days, these two actually make sense.

Did you just not go to LSU? People packing into the lower sections makes just as much sense as those two.

Thanks for the obligatory dig at the greeks.
Actually, the greeks stay longer than any other identifiable group. I was at both Auburn and Florida (there for kickoff and my wife and I stayed through 00:00, in the stiff dew and the heat). I was appalled that the upper NEZ was so empty at kickoff in the Fla game, and it never fully filled. However, the greek section near the goal line was full for both games and stayed that way through most of the 4th quarter.
FYI, the greeks have to earn those good seats through philanthropy and grades. Greek alumni remember their time at LSU and in that section fondly, and give generously to the school. Find another student organization other than the band that can make those claims and come back and post again.

When the new south upper they might struggle to fill it period.
If they went back to letting in all students with their ID like when I was there the stadium would be jam packed again.

For 1 or 2 games a year

I explained in one of my first posts in this thread,
quote:
The argument that many students cram into the lower levels, and that leaves a empty section up top may be true for some games, but that wasn't the case last Saturday. The student section, other than the very bottom, was sparse all the way until about the time the Tigers came out onto the field immediately prior to openeing kickoff. Even after everyone arrived, there was plenty of space in the student section. You didn't have 25 people crammed onto a row that holds 20 seats like you sometimes do get. It was more like 16-17 people for a row of 20 seats.

So do you ignore the picture from this thread showing the whole north endzone packed later in the game?

They need to move the Greek tickets from the sideline to the end zone and sell those if they really need the money.

That pictures shows that the student sections filled in, but it was not packed. Also, if the picture was zoomed in, you could see that there was space for people to move around. I was at the game, as I am at all of the home games. I can see times when the students are crammed in tight. Last Saturday was not one of those. As I stated, if a row of seats holds 20 spaces, you may have had 15-16 people on each row.

The whole stadium has issues with attendance, stop picking on the students only. That is my only point.

Have we still not figured out that because the students stand and all pack into the bottom of the corner of the endzone that they have the right amount of seats, they just don't sit properly in them. Instead of each student sitting in one allotted seat spanning all the way up there, there are about 2.5 times too many students in the area I identified. It looks empty, but it is actually the right number of bodies in the wrong place.

This thread is about that spot underneath the scoreboard. When the thread about the East sidelines comes up, I'll chime in on that one as well.

I have wondered about this, looks that way every game. I would buy season tickets there if it was availible

I have heard about this GREEK section. BS. WTF??
I graduated in '72 and damned if I remember a GREEK section. If you weren't in line EARLY for a game back then you didn't get in Greek or not.
If there is a GREEK section and they aren't filling it, sell the damn tickets!
