TAF funds related to season tickets for football

Last season was my first year with season tickets to the renewal process is new for me.
I just go the email to pay the TAF donoation portion of my tickets by March 31st.
And I think this is right. I still need to donate my 100 bucks to the TAF champions fund to get my 3 "philanthropic" points as the TAF portion of my tickets doesn't count towards "philanthropic" points.
And "philanthropic" points is what they use for ticket upgrades.

You are correct good sir. If you want to make points faster go the philanthropic route.

Correct, the $100 membership dues is separate from tickets and would be due even if you didn't have any tickets.

Don't forget to get on the waiting list once you've paid your TAF yearly.
It's $10 per ticket, and have to do it every year. It's a mistake some first timers make.

I think it's $10 per account.

If you already have tickets and want to upgrade, it sounds like you have to mail a form for relocation consideration, not the waitlist online, correct?
Also, for renewals, when do you have to pay the actual $$ for the tickets themselves? Tradition fund I have already paid.

just got this email today from the ticket people.
A) think your answer is second bullet point on right.
B) To me, the relocation form and the wait list are the same thing, I may be wrong.
C) "relocation requests" at this point seem to be a misnomer. The real relocation happens with the seat selection later where, based on your points, you enter the website and select available seats.
And the guy above is right, it's $10 per account, not ticket.

Hint: You will never be anywhere near enough points for them to do you any good. (for bowl tickets, etc).
Most people have realized just keep your $ and buy tickets on secondary market for bowls.

Its just for moving up for regular season tickets for myself. I would never buy tickets for bowl through LSU unless it was Sugar bowl or NC game. So i guess now a playoff game. I think its well worth it to throw the 100 bucks at them every year though.

I quit paying for season tickets last season. Didn't regret it at all, TBH.

I never thought in a million years my paying the $10 would ever really do me any good. The BEST that could ever come of it would be if 1 or 2 opened up which were contiguous with my current group.
Despite this, I kept paying my $10 every year. Nothing ever came of it -- but it was only $10.
WELL, last year all those years of paying the $10 finally paid off. When they opened up all those Lower South seats, I got four in the Lower South right underneath the overhang. PERFECT seats that I never dreamed I'd ever get.
Unfortunately, that's probably a once in a lifetime opportunity that will never happen again. But, I'll keep paying my $10 just in case.

I was paying a few hundred per year extra (long time ago) thinking it would help and I've never once gotten a single ticket for a "good" bowl game like BCS bowl or championship. (not saying I was a big donor by any means). The rumored cutoff point for those kind of tickets was literally double the points I had at the time. That's when I said F it and stopped.

Same, I could have gotten seats in the UD for years but didn't want them. I got baseball tickets when the new Box opened and lower bowl seats when they kicked visitors to the upper deck.

I was referring more to the waiting list.
I've been giving my $100 every March to the TAF. I don't recall how long, but I did get the "10 Year Member" license plate frame 3 or 4 years ago. I'm not sure it's ever done me any good.

Nope...I got screwed by it last year. Well, I got screwed because I didn't pay attention.
As soon as they separated the philanthropic ranking and the priority ranking it really hurt for seaosn tix upgrades. I am high for post and road game tix but not for tiger stadium upgrades.

do they both use the same rank?

Different rankings used for upgrades vs away/bowl tickets.
Lifetime ranking takes into account all your years of season ticket "donations" and is used for away/bowl ticket requests.
Philanthropic ranking takes only philanthropic donations to TAF (ie no ticket donations) and is used for season ticket upgrades and new assignments.
