Roll up door installation 6’ x 7’
Posted by Drilltiger on 1/3/24 at 8:59 am
Looking to install a roll up door myself but I’m thinking I may need to prep my door jambs for the install. Only wrinkle is the 16” of cylinder block at the bottom of the frame.
I’d originally assumed I could install a light duty roll up door directly into the 2x4 frame but looking at measurements that seems like it would have to be awfully precise to get both guides into the middle of each stud and avoid binding the roll.
I’ve considered cutting the blocks and forming out the door frame more to get more room for the 2” guides to go further beyond the opening. And get more strength to anchor guides.
Anybody encountered something like this before? Any suggestions.

re: First time rental property purchase: LLC or not worth it for one property?

Correct just liability protection. Just spouse and I
Lender has answered a few of my questions around this and is guiding me to transfer after. But is also classifying as an investment property and seems to be prime rate but I need to pressure him on the official paperwork to confirm.
But I have the feeling he’s just gonna give me a contact to a CPA or something after and think he’s done his job.
Guess I need him to show me the lender agreement and try to see if I can get something in writing that they won’t corner me into a refi in the future.

First time rental property purchase: LLC or not worth it for one property?

This will be a partial financed vacation home that will be rented more than 60% of the time.
I think I understand some of the value of using an LLC but not sure if I’m missing the tradeoffs.
Will I still get favorable interest rate mortgage for 30yr (because that’s the only thing affordable at these rates) under an LLC?
Better the personal finance and transfer to an LLC later?

[BATON ROUGE – One of the names synonymous with the history of LSU’s successful boxing teams of the late 1940s and 1950s, Thurman “Crowe” Peele, passed away this week at the age of 88.

Wow didn’t realize how strict the cell phone rule is. No sweat for my dad, he’s the only person I know that doesn’t own one!

That’s good info to know about the practice round tickets are yearly. Never occurred to me to book the trip and get the practice tickets by local means.

I’ve always heard in some aspects the practice rounds are better than some of the tourney days. Safe to assume Tuesday and Wednesday better than Monday option?
Also any insight on how to obtain one of these without the egregious fees from 3rd party sites? Keen on trying to take my dad this year.
Also, open to being called a dummy if I am 6 months too late in planning to such a trip.

Thanks this is the most help I’ve seen so far. Impossible to contact them on the phone.
At least I submitted the tickets through their forum. Hope the buyers get them.

Tried all options on stubhub website, no details of the buyer at all. Previously I’ve even had the mailing address of buyer. Not this time.
Bummer more so for the buyers than myself....hope Pasadena is a good time regardless.

Agreed no problems previously with stubhub. Call center is 3+ hr hold to remediate any issues.
The problem is the UCLA game is mobile phone delivery only and for some unknown reason doesn’t accept the LSU ticket bar code and no other option to deliver. Will require customer support to fix. Just too bad you can’t talk to anyone to fix this simple issue.

FYI sold legal tickets through stubhub. Sold 2 tic and a single. These 3 folks probably calling and waiting on hold like I am to try and receive their tickets to know avail with 3+ he hold times with stubhub.
LONG SHOT Post here what tix you are waiting on and if they match the ones I sold I’ll make it happen.
LSU ticket office has acknowledged this problem but has no solution. Said they are “working” with stubhub.

Is it confirmed the FOX44 tower in BR is working properly over rabbit ears? No damage? Not in town yet.

Unless you're air or foam drilling. You don't know you're taking a kick until the flare goes off.
This could not be any further than the truth. Even land rigs have trip tanks and TT pumps to keep the hole full while monitoring for a kick. Yes, on land they may bypass the TT but you still have active pit PVTs that can tell you what's going on downhole during a trip.
A lot of areas drill with high background drill cutting gas, hence seeing it at the flare. no one trips with active gas at the flare.
