FWIW they were trying to explain something to you that i think you do not understand really well...

From what i understand about the new system, they are completely right. This has little to no effect on you.

I'm certain you just misunderstood the phone conversation. Its not LSU's problem you can't read press releases which clearly define the priority point plan.

Yet you call me a retard
Yes, yes I do. You made multiple posts bashing the LSU admins without knowing the facts. You claim to want to "educate" other when you yourself have no idea what you speak of. People then call you out and make you aware of your ignorance and your response is:
quote:

"son, you have no idea what YOU are talking about"
.

Sorry, but based on your apparent misunderstaning of the telephone conversation with LSU, your inability to properly read your TAF website account info and your response to me when called out, I'd say you most definitely have a learning disability.

Is this what you are thinking about?

Are All Donations - Regardless of When Made - Considered in Calculating Priority Points?

No. The priority point policy contains date restrictions covering certain types of donations and effective January 2, 2004, donors’ priority point totals will be calculated on a “rolling" twenty-year basis. This means that subject to the following exceptions, donations made more than twenty years prior to the date upon which total priority points are calculated will not be considered in calculating donors’ total priority points.

Exception Number One: Priority points based on donations to TAF prior to January 1, 2004, are deemed earned as of January 1, 2004.

Exception Number Two: The rolling twenty year calculation does not apply to donations to TAF philanthropic programs and does not apply to qualifying philanthropic donations made to the LSU Foundation or the LSU Alumni Association on or after May 18, 2006.

If so, this isn't new (2004).

You're completely wrong. Like everyone else has said, you now have 2 rankings. Your old ranking is still good. The only thing the new rankings are applicable to is when ADDING seats/season tickets and UPGRADING your current seat locations. Your old ranking is still good for everything else. Since you are confused, you may want to contact TAF so they can settle you down.

Also, since it appears you haven't been donating to LSU outside of your ticket fees over the years, you likely don't have a very high philanthropic ranking. It would, therefore, be a huge mistake for you to give up your tickets now if you possibly will want to get them back in the future.

Again, this change should not effect you at all unless you are looking to upgrade your seat locations.

Also, to the person saying that the season ticket holder who has held their seats for over 30 years has "earned" them...you're right....and no one is trying to take them away. This change will not effect them.

I'm certain you just misunderstood the phone conversation

I'm a man, i can admit when i'm wrong. in this case i'm obviously wrong. I appologize for the misinformation.

i wont get into what was said in the phone conversation. i do not think i misunderstood. i know the other party didn't explain what you have explained. If they had, i would not have been on here.

Lastly, i'll show you a lot more respect and civility than you have shown to me. i hope when you are wrong on something, which you have been and will be again someday, someone will treat you, a little differently, than how you treat others.

Yea, you've got this all wrong.

You haven't donated shite to TAF for 15 years and have been reaping all the benefits for those 15 years and now you're complaining.

There may well be plenty of people who will pick those tickets up that are not renewed. However, at some point priorities have to kick into place. Regardless of what the "White" house wants to say, the economy is still in the toilet. I realize there are some more fortunate, and that's good. However, after being unemployed from a layoff seven months ago, I am finding that if I have to pick between watching the team on TV in order to keep the lights on and the kids in school, versus paying inflated prices for tickets and endangering the aforementioned and more, then I will watch them on TV, which is what I will be doing. When I want to go to a game, I am sure that I will not have a problem finding a ticket for a decent seat, whether it be football or basketball.

On the upside, I just got a job offer and will be going back to work in a couple of weeks. It will take a while to get back on my financial feet, but at least I will be able to do that. I have learned a lot about living on less over the last few months, and some of those newfound practices will continue.

I remember the good old days. The late eighties. Walking into Tiger Stadium and looking at 30,000 yellow sheets taped to seats flapping in the wind designating unclaimed season tickets. You could buy a pair for under $260.00 per season. Just walk around and pick the view. That was after 2 poor seasons. Before Curley. The line for tickets wasnt always there and it wont always be there

1. They haven't taken a seat from the Student Section in who knows how long.

2. Economics is still in LSU's favor.
