So this means that the team was NOT as good as the record indicated????

What?

Our team was great, our offense wasn't when we played good defenses.

the offense was highly managed all year and benefitted greatly from defense and special teams big plays...we didn't get those big plays in New Orleans and we saw what happened.

This is a load of crap.
The avg D rank prior to 11-5 was in the 50s, and from there to the end around #20.
#1, #5 and a #1 again out of 6 games should temper your judgement a bit.

I mean, are Rivers/Randall that bad to where Les has to go get this guy?

Case closed.

They must also be so bad that Miles is going to give up Beckwith, Willis, Williams -- or someone of that caliber on his scholly as well. Look for transfers soon.

It never ceases to amaze how dumb people can be. This is a smart move for LSU, the guy is insurance plain and simple. He played on a pretty shitty team. Don't think he is very good but probably not as bad as he has shown. If he can hand the ball off we are good.

If Bolden starts for LSU at any point that Mett has eligibility at LSU (and) that isn't due to injury, then we are in a bad way.

Option packages for a guy who threw the ball 300+ times in college over two years and carried the ball 30 times or so over the course of one year.

Doesn't look like he's a runner. Just doesn't look like he's a thrower either.

I don't see why a kid who started for a BCS Big-10 program would come here to "fight it out" for 3rd or 4th string on the depth chart. It makes zero sense as to why we'd bring him in or why he'd want to come.

But that's never stopped us before.

Bolden's options will be (i) headset or (ii) clipboard.

Unfortunately his option needs to be equipment manager or waterboy. The guy was horrid at PSU and all Ive heard today from PSU fans on the radio has been people giving Miles praise for taking him away from them.

Now if he were to be moved to safety I could "possibly" be ok with that.

Beginning the season, he would likely be 4th on the depth chart due to the fact that he will have been at LSU all of 1 month. However I could see him moving to #2 due to the fact that he at least has some experience in a BCS conf, while Rivers/Randall don't. Personally, I think he could have probably gone to several other schools and been a starter right away, just not at LSU. Nevertheless, he may just want to play for a team with ligitimate championship hopes, or just move to a different part of the country. Who knows? But it never hurts to have a talented backup with big game experience should something happen to your starter.

He comes here because he doesn't have a future after college football and he can win a ring playing for us at any string.

As for why we'd bring him in I think it is simple: More people on the chart at QB. Maybe our coaches see something in him?

Of course they will say that, "if he doesn't want us then we don't want him!"

Alos I've heard from PSU fans that the sanctions were their 9/11. So I don't give a frick what PSU fans think/say; they are still under the assumption that PSU is clean. LINK

You really don't see how having a QB who has taken snaps in front of 100,000 people is better than having two who haven't?

He's no different then JJ playing. I would assume that Miles likes that style of play and would be keeping him around as a close to the vest move.

Jesus Hot Carl, you are a downright awesome fricking poster.

True, and in Les' defense we did have one of our QB's transfer to Harvard. ....And when Les realized that JJ & JL were always going to be shitty QB's he went out and signed the best damn high school baseball pitcher he could find.

The funny thing is 90% of LSU fans right now are shitting their pants thinking they have to endure watching a "running" QB piss his pants against Alabama. I can guarantee 3rd time won't be a charm for Bolden if he starts.
Only the ignorant.
