T-Bob said he was screaming at the TV b/c the DL was lining up a yard off the LOS.

Why would the LSU DL line up so far off the LOS? You are inviting the run and making it easy for the offense you are trying to defend. Makes no sense.

Okay, I heard T-Bob say that several times last night. We have literally been doing that since the 2022 FSU game against shot-gun teams. And it's 2 yards off the LOS, not just 1. I'm still perplexed how a local "analyst" like T-Bob is just seeing this trend 1 1/2 years after House/Kelly introduced it in the Super Dome vs Seminoles.

Teams have figured it out. Whatever advantage lining up off the LOS gives you (IDK) teams have figured out that you simply run the ball. Blocking becomes much easier for the OL when you have a half step running start.

Analyst might be the wrong word but his point still stands. T-Bob does a film breakdown every Monday after every game. It’s crazy that he’s just now noticing this.
