Great campus, great stadium, great fans, great area!

That was a quality trip! The Finger Lakes region is a beautiful area, and there is a lot to take in.

I'd love to see another LSU-SU home-and-home series!

I went to undergrad up there near Albany. Lake George was one of the most beautiful places Ive ever been to in the fall.

Trip was great and loved the dome. Went to the Orange bar on campus before and after the game. Place was going nuts when they played "Callin Baton Rouge" Great time

Cuse fans knew we were clearly better and most were not obnoxious.

Great link!

Y'all Come Back Now

They didn't quite accomplish their mission of drinking the town dry, but it was fun to have LSU fans in town for a few days. They were a lively bunch who love their football team but also loved trying out a new part of the country.

They ate in our restaurants, slept in our hotels and, yes, drank in our bars. But they also took road trips to Niagara Falls, the Baseball Hall of Fame, Turning Stone and so much more. They helped fuel the big time feel of this game and were a fun bunch to hang out with.

Sorry Syracuse gave you a little scare on the football field. We'll see you in Death Valley in 2017.

And some nice comments:

@nashvilleo To all of the LSU fans that came north to watch the game live. Thank you, I enjoyed talking to some, wishing most a safe trip home as I walked pass the line waiting to get on the bus back to the Skytop and Manley parking lots. You were fun, loud when cheering on your team. I hope you enjoyed the upstate NY region as much as we enjoyed having you here.

The game for me was epic and will be remembered for ever. I wish you the best for the remainder of the season.

Shout out to all the LSU fans that made the trip and represented us well. I was lurking the Syracuse board late last night and it seems all of them had nothing but great things to say about all of the LSU fans that they came across.

Had a great time and the Syracuse fans were very nice and welcoming. Hope some make it down to BR in 2017.

I was born up there, and spent my Summers on the St Lawrence further north. God's Country-truly green and gorgeous. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed the game and your fans. The dome was rocking at times. It was an important game for us in many ways. We didn't win but at least made a game of it. Fournette is one of those guys we'll be talking about for decades. There will be a lot of us coming to visit in 2017 but not in the numbers that travel with LSU. Your fans represent really well. Geaux Tigers!!

i pray that we are at least somewhat as hospitable (and non-confrontational) as you guys seemed and are being reported to be....

we have some here that don't know exactly how to be "welcoming" of opposing fans...

Just a piece of trivia: Fournette's 244 yards rushing was the 3rd highest recorded at SU, either at the Carrier Dome or at Archbold Stadium, built in 1907 and used until the Carrier Dome was built. SU's Joe Morris had 252 and Penn State's Curt Warner had 256. Nicely done...

Wonderful representation of TRUE LSU fans/alums making the trip.

Sadly, this is only possible because the alums that could afford to make the trip know how to handle themselves while having a good time in a competitive environment.

We can expect that all the trashy LSU fans (not alums, but Wal-Mart t-shirt fans) will cause problems when the SU faithful make their trip. Hopefully all of this positive press can be amplified to show the masses how to act from here on out.

Yes, because none of the current or former students are ever guilty of assholish behavior.

I've been to every campus in the SEC (except Mizzou). I'd put the overall trip in my Top Five and wish the LSU Ath. Department would consider scheduling other good home and homes like this. We traveled to NYC before the game and Niagara Falls after, which made for a great trip.

I would rate:
Syracuse campus - average (small and not particularly pretty)
Syracuse bar strip - above-average, plenty drinking holes really close to stadium, but who opens at 9:30 or 10:00 for a noon game??!! They lost a ton of $$$ by not opening sooner. Lines were down sidewalk with people waiting for food/pubs to open.
Syracuse fans - above-average hosts, nice group
Syracuse co-eds - below-average (worse than any SEC school)
Syracuse downtown - pretty cool area with plenty pubs and watering holes. Dinosaur BBQ is highly over-rated. Most BBQ joints in BR or Memphis are better.
Carrier Dome - below-average (concrete circle with fiberglass roof and no A/C, it got a little warm in 2nd QTR)
Stadium Noise Level - louder than most considering crowd size. Fiberglass roof clearly adds to sound level.

One of the comments linked to this post from Sept. 23rd, three days BEFORE the game:

SU stacks the box on defense to slow the run forcing LSU with it's unproven passing to win the game. In the end it is closer than everyone is saying but SU is still just outmatched in talent and coaching. LSU 34 SU 24

I was with you till you said...

Wal-mart t shirt fans are the TRASHY, not TRUE LSU fans.

Got it

I had a great time up there as well. I would go back if we play there again.
