I wonder how much option they are gonna run.

Highlights from their latest gameLINK

Can LSU bring in Andrew Hatch to run the scout offense.

Yeah, the guy who hit him was ejected. I thought Central Michigan had a lot of success with their short passing game so we might see more from Harris this week

The hit on the quarterback was awful.

It appears that Syracuse is a pro-style option running team. Les ought to understand their offense.

Looks like it is going to be a reality. A new thread was made about that, but I thought I gave a good summary of the 5 QBs on the roster here.

I guess they could go with Wilson, but if the coaches felt more comfortable with Mahoney in OT, I'd guess he'd start. They may platoon.

What's his skill set? Is he a mobile guy?

4th/5th string QB at Syracuse?

My guess is walking and chewing gum at the same time

I am assuming that Syracuse (at home) is better than Toledo and SC State, so I hope our predictions of a walk in the park type game are accurate.

This kind of reminds me of the episode of Coach where they played in the patriot bowl

I'd imagine Bernie Fine knows of a kid that can play QB.

To work on the passing game...Central Michigan threw for 420 yards...you figure LSU goes for 210...

OP...Thanks for the QB break-down!

Looks like there is going to be a brutal beat-down in the Carrier Dome once LSU gets thru the early sleep-walk at 11:00a.m.

wow. I hope the kid is okay after a shot like that...Jesus.

Damn, first time I saw the hit.

Yeah, I would like play them at their best, and I know they want to show there best and try not to get embarrassed, but realistically they aren't staying close anyway. It sounds like they really like the kid and think he's their future so there is no way they should risk playing this game. Save him and I think that they have a bye and can get him back at 100% for USF in conference.

It's looking more and more that Mahoney will be the guy

Mahoney said that on a good JUCO team, there might be a couple of guys that are good enough to play for a SEC team. Now he’ll have to face all 11. He said it makes the game faster.

Is he comparing a guy who can possibly be a backup at Vandy to the LSU starting defensive players?

I think it's great they manage to be 3-0 still

Which improves our strength of schedule.
But i don't want to go into the game like we are going to slaughter them- wrong mentality to have this early in the season. Remember a few years ago when we lost to a depleted Ole Miss team- never take anyone for granted!!
