I've had multiple Alabama fans tell me we won't score 20.

Daniels is by far the most dynamic QB they will have gone against. Texas has a good QB and Dart is good for Ole Miss, but neither one of them is anything like Daniels and how he is playing right now. He dominated Bama's D last year when he was much more limited throwing the ball in an offense which wasn't nearly as good as this one.

Bama did a good job shutting down Ole Miss, but limiting Dart is much easier than trying to stop an elite runner and passer (which Daniels now is) in an offense with the nation's leading WR in yards and the nation's leader in receiving TDs. I don't really see a legit weakness on this offense. Sensational QB, tough O-line, great TE, stable of really good RBs and a WR group that has two of the best in the country. Keeping them under 20 would be quite the accomplishment.

We ARE the same team that lost to Ole Miss.

I think our offense has gotten even better (more efficient, nailing more long passes and having better play calling). Jayden has gotten smarter with sliding and not taking as many hits too.

The D is going to have its issues. However, I do feel our D-line has been playing better, tackling has looked better, Perkins is being put in a better position so it's not as clear if he's rushing the passer or dropping into coverage, and Speights appears healthy and like he is playing much better than how he started. So those are all positives.

The secondary is the big question mark with even more news guys playing now on due to injuries, etc. I'm sure they'll get burned at times, but if LSU's improving D-line and LBs can get some pressure, that could make a big difference since Milroe is inaccurate at times (though he has a very strong arm for nailing deep passes).

Uhh most bama fans think they’re ‘garbage’ this year. Idk what you’re talking about. The confidence hasn’t been lower since I moved here

I’d say it’s pretty logical for them to be confident considering the circumstances

Watching the LSU defense is what makes Bama fans “extremely confident”

Of course they are. They have a good team and have a long history of gaining momentum in November and dominating this matchup. LSU needs to take the game, Bama is not going to overlook the game.

Until I’m told who will replace Wingo and the dbs and that they are playing well together in practice., we will have a very hard time scoring points with them. Milford will look like a Herman candidate and honestly he is there weakest qb in a long time

It seems like this board believes LSU got worse and Bama got better during the bye week.

No we are not. It’s not even close to the same defense or ST’s or offense that played Ole Miss. We have basically shored up an entire 1/4 of our defense. We were literally missing a whole 1/4 of our defense. That’s now covered. Imo what we do best is cover the deep ball, and stop the run. What we don’t do well is cover the entire field. The QB we’re facing throws a good deep ball but I don’t see him spreading the ball around to multiple WRs. LSU can both run the ball and cover which will put so much pressure on that defense. Their OL has holes in it, we have to create more holes. If we stay in our rush lanes, cover the deep ball and get pressure, we will win this game comfortably. 41-28 LSU. If we turn the ball over or get flagged more than usual then it could be closer, 37-34 LSU.

To say this the same team who played Ole Miss is just completely wrong. Our freshman corners can play fellas and with all the talk about them being shitty, they’ll play hard as frick. I like our chances in this matchup.

With this defense, so-called, why should they not be confident?

I live in Mobile so I can tell you that after the Ole Miss game the title talk started in earnest. The long pass completions have them all fired up.

I work a lot in Birmingham and see the opposite. Bama fans are not their usual confident selves unless things have dramatically changed in the past two weeks.

I think too many fans put too much emphasis on the past. The defense definitely has some improving to do, but compared to where we were at the beginning of the season, we've improved drastically. I think what many fans are overlooking is just how good our offense is and Alabama hasn't played a high powered team like LSU that can beat you in multiple ways.

Eighty percent of winning is mentally having the confidence and believing you can beat the other team and I believe our team is extremely confident. We also beat them last year, but I like when people doubt us because that's when we play best.
