The general consensus I have heard on radio/TV is:

#1 - OBJ is an odd person who picked a really bad time to distract everybody's attention away from the team and directly at him.

#2 - WTF was the cop doing patrolling the locker room. Let these guys celebrate. If they live to be a thousand years old this will be one of the top 5 moments in all their lives.

Negative. The officer is not allowed to accept money. He dropped the charges because he thought about it and felt that it was just an exciting time for LSU and their alumn and he didnt want to be the ogre to ruin the night.

I guess OBJ gave him some fake cash to drop the charges.

now the little man syndrome cop can go buy him a big ole, F-250 pickup truck to fit in with his O-T friends.

yes OBJ is a fool, but that particular cop also has little man syndrome.

so much bullshite in this post

where to start? how about the tiny, little man storming into the locker room like it was the beaches of Normandy (circa 1944) and acting like a few cigars being smoked was a life or death situation in that moment.

NOPE

For all y’all thinking this got dropped for anything other than money you are just wrong.

This has nothing to do with telling someone to drop it as if all the higher ups didn’t know a police officer was filing charges against OBJ.

That is not how high profile incidents work when it doesn’t occur immediately. If the cop arrests him right then and there, then higher up the chain of command won’t know until he is booked. With charges being filed yesterday that means it was discussed at the highest levels in the department because of the high profile name involved. Period end of story!

Nope this was all about OBJ spending some of that cash he likes to flaunt around, and that is all it was about.

OBJ couldn’t deny the charges so he would have had to make a plea bargain because the evidence isn’t refutable in anyway! And once he pleads guilty, and I believe because the video went viral and has embarrassed that cop on national tv the prosecutors would make plead guilty to something. And then that would trigger a response from the NFL to discipline OBJ.

NOPE NOPE NOPE that man got paid plain and simple and if I had to guess it was a cool $100,000 that is how much control that officer had over the situation once the video went viral.

When you say “attention” you mean he got paid! Then you are correct sir that man got a whole lot of “attention.” If you mean anything else when you say “attention” then you are wrong!

That's much better.

I don't know how any man could go through with pressing charges for that simple act in a locker room.

His freinds and family told him he was going to get paid and needed to press charges.
OBJ's attorney took care of the rest.
You people thinking he dropped the charges because his friends and family are telling him to need to rethink this.

Negative!
Not a chance, Hoss.

Anyone with a functioning brain would have simply gone to the coach(s), told them dome authorities issued orders to shutdown the smoking, and accompanied the coach(s) as they relayed orders to the players. That's it.

Instead, MrMallCop bitch strode into a celebratory locker room, immediately angling for a confrontation. He proceeded to THREATEN players over what should have been fairly inconsequential. He even made an arrest threat to a cigarless Damien Lewis when Lewis was texting instead of paying undivided attention to him. Then the wannabe claimed to see a "burn mark on the floor" and attempted to set up a confrontation over that.

As I've said, this is a little bitch wannabe who would patrol off-base bars to arrest returning 20y/o returning combat veterans for underage drinking. Why? Because he could.

When I watched the video, I don't think this man cared about $$$. It was alllllll about control and he was humiliated and wanted vengeance. Same as the defensive guy from Clemson who got tossed. Just a look in the eye that says "If I don't get my way and hurt people, I want to watch the world burn." Narcissistic assholes.
