How fast can the dome be flipped between the Saints and LSU? Can the Saints play on Sunday and LSU play on Monday or do they need more time?

I've seen the issue discussed, but haven't seen a definitive answer..

don't see why it would be a problem since its turf.. also if they believe it to be an issue they will probably give the saints the day game to give them more time to make the switch

They have finished high school championships at midnight and had dome ready for saints by 9 am last year

The general opinion is that they'll have the Saints on Saturday because of this situation. Because there is an option to help lessen the burden on the Dome crew...hopefully the NFL will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I'll be at the Saints game, but I'm having trouble locating reasonably priced BCSNCG game tix.

Anyone know some good places to hide overnight in the Dome?

I can see cleaning up happening pretty quickly, but media setups and restocking essentials like the beer supply could be problematic overnight...

I think the NFL will do the right thing & put it on Saturday, because they can. It's certainly possible to turn it around in less than a day tho.

Depending on when the Saints game falls, it'd be a lot of fun to go to that...

It can definitely be done overnight. The biggest thing is that the whole field needs changing and not just the endzones, particularly because of the hashes plus the 25 yardline logos and midfield. The common belief is that the Saints game will be on the 7th.

They will certainly be busy:
Jan 1: NFL
Jan 3: College
Jan 7 or 8: NFL
Jan 9: college

Saints End Reg Seaon on Sunday Jan 1. Suger Bowl is Tues Jan 3rd. Saints first Home playoff Game is Sat Jan 7th, BCS is Monday the 9th. Two days seperate Saints from college games. Tulane plays in the Dome before Saints games if you want to call that college. Not much cleanup when you have less than 1,000 people at a game.

There's more to it than just swapping the field and the endzones. It takes some time to wipe nacho cheese off the seats and hose diarrhea off the bathroom walls.

It's a good thing that the BCS game isn't BEFORE the Saints' game. Not enough time to fumigate/lysol, and Saints fans would be vomiting from the stench of redneck gump tears... caused by extreme abuse to their rectals.

They could easily do it overnight. The NFL really won't take it into consideration. The Saints game will be determined by the TV networks.

This is field turf, don't forget. From what I've read previously, it's more difficult to repaint and have it look good, than old astroturf or "Mardi Grass"

I noticed at the New Orleans Bowl, the end zone logos were small, but not the conference ones.

Bathrooms may be an issue, too.

Not one to normally post, but I keep seeing people say that the NFL will move the Saints game to Saturday. It's not up to the NFL. It is up to the networks that have rights to those playoff games.
