His interviews were comical, angering, and bewildering all at the same time.
I remember riding in my truck to and from the games with my dad when Smoke was the coach and we would just

That sounds like some Tony LaRussa stuff, but his teams were never terrible. LaRussa wasn't scared to bat a pitcher 8th.
