Should LSU sue media outlets over singling them out and spreading the perception that LSU had filed a lawsuit against the SEC or were party to a lawsuit regarding these players?

I think LSU should just go beat the ever living hell out of everyone on the schedule this year and not worry about anything else. No one is going to like us no matter what. Embrace it.

Yeah, it’s game day and people are wanting to file lawsuits in a litigation era that they claim to normally despise. The hypocrisy has no irony.

Oh yes, that’s exactly what LSU should do.

No. The "irony" is that is the only way to change the system.

As long as a party allows itself to be repeatedly victimized by a ridiculous system, its opponents will continue to go to that well. It is only when the party turns those tables on its opponent that there is a plea for truce, or a search for more reasonable solutions.

My understanding is that defamation is very difficult to prove for a public institution. Singling out one from a group would not rise to the level of defamation. The only thing that has happened that would possibly move in that direction is any falsehoods that were reported. Even then, you would have to prove it was done maliciously or with reckless disregard for the truth.

I do not think LSU would be likely to succeed, nor do I think they would even consider filing this type of lawsuit.

Just make Stanley’s life uncomfortable. Make his kids life uncomfortable. He should live in fear from now to forever.
