Yeah Oklahoma at #5 also shows this is nonsense. Jackass Jim Ross and Jackass Toby Keith on the sidelines, and a state full of arrogant jackals fans is all that is.
LSU fans will invite opponent's fans to their tailgate- and feed them and beer them and have good conversation with some good fun trash talk of course. Hell, I hear Alabama fans and Mississippi State fans are similar in that regard.
Oklahoma fans will cross 8 lanes of traffic, foaming at the mouth rabid, just to run up to you and scream "boomer sooner" in your ear while spitting their Natty Light all over you- just for wearing a hat with the opposing team's logo.
So, what exactly classifies these rankings of "best fans"? Because for a myriad reasons, this seems unconfirmable.

It seems that no one here has read the methodology behind this list.
I hate Texas as much as the next person, but here is why they are #1
"Texas reports the highest revenues, achieves the best ROI and wins the revenue premium competition. Even when Texas struggles on the field the football program delivers amazing economic results."
Same goes for Tennessee. Fans continue to support the school, even though their team is terrible.
This isn't a "best tailgate" list, nor a "friendliest fan" list. This list objectively shows which school has the best "brand strength".
