You’re one of those posters that need to think really hard before you press submit.

I think you should say, "O recruits coaches like he recruits offensive linemen"

It would still be stupid, but not as stupid.

Ok so let’s fire O and give him his huge buyout so we can get a HC that CAN hire coordinators.

Canada didn’t work out, but it was an attempt to remake our dog shite offense.

Coach O has changed our dog shite offense.

He's an a-hole that everyone hates. Orgeron should've done more research on him.

I think he was fine from a scheme standpoint. But if no one can work with you, it's irrelevant.

He's on his 8th job in 10 years.

The Canada hire wasn’t terrible, but it was obviously not the long term answer. Always thought the “Air Canada” thing was strange because his offense was very run oriented.

But it was a necessary first step in getting the LSU offense out of the stone ages. You can’t expect to go straight from the stone age to the space age.

But this DC hire should be the make or break moment for Coach O’s long term future as a head coach. He is 0-2 in big coordinator hires so far, and cost his employer and donors big money both times. He needs to get this one right.

When you are admittedly a head coach that depends on having great coordinators around you, at some point you need to prove you are capable of hiring “great coordinators”.

Maybe so, but O sure hit a home run with his coaching hires for the 2019 season which resulted on one of the best college football teams in history. I'm sure you bitched about that, too.

Canada was hired to open things up, get the passing game going, but if you review his past history he was more of a running OC than a spread the field and pass it OC. He was closer to a Malzahn than a Brady.

most teams keep stuff internal. I doubt many, including LSU if someone asks about Canada, would give much info. We were also trying to assemble a staff quick for recruiting IIRC

When people were bashing O for firing him they refused to believe he was an a-hole and hard to work with...O corrected his "mistake" and the offense was fixed and I don't think there was much of a buyout

true

true...and all the motion caused issues early and O told him to simplify it to avoid penalties. As Saban would say it was tons of window dressing that he teaches his team to ignore

I'm not going to dispute your title.

But exactly how many boosters has Orgeron cost LSU, who are they and what is your documentation?

TIA
