We always talk strategy, or who's having a good game, or look at the scores for the other games and our stats.

i pretty much would tell people around me scores

that's how the people around me knew USC lost almost 5 minutes before it was announced at florida

and talking football in the SS is like talking football on the rant

I sit in the student section and have for years, but a lot can be desired for the LSU student section. Its a gold game and people still do not wear gold, many do not pay attention, and despite the looks at full section to start the game the scans for the students never come close to the 14,400 tickets alloted.

Last years FL game was about 200 short of the 14,400 figure and most games are over a thousand less.

I think part of the problem is that 14,400 who get tickets are not die hard fans but go because its the social thing. LSU's upgrading bullshite policy and scanning IDs has discouraged big time fans from sitting in the student section to make up for those who dont care.

Granted it'll be tough for LSU to reach a Penn State level student section but there is a lot to be desired.

With people outside of my group is absolutely awful...

I'm almost glad RP got kicked off so that I don't have to hear "why is he on the kickoff team" again...

so im guessing yall are some of the idiots that are all for getting rid of student sections right?

yall are all jackasses, what separates college and pro is the student section, like seriously, its bad enough that LSU sells out to espn and CBS all the time but come on stop the bitching about the real reason for college football.

THE STUDENTS

like, I mean like if you don't want the SEC to "sell out" to like CBS and ESPN, then you'll like be bitching about higher ticket prices...

Student section was full enough to have me almost standing in the aisle 90% of the game.

a group of us brought up this idea to the SG when they started the priority points system for student tickets for bowl games. it was turned down

Probably because they wanted to make sure they could leave early with their friends if they wanted to.

i think away games should count for more than all of them being equivalent of 1 home game

I don't. Home game attendance is the most important if only for the fairness in that pretty much everyone but freshman have the option to attend.

Now, you are rewarded for attending the way games, which already gives you a leg up on those who can't/won't attend away games. All that matters is competitive rankings. The number of points themselves don't matter. So why you want more points? Want to be rewarded for making the trips to Auburn and Florida in even years so you can skip one of the "bad" games at home? Kinda defeats the purpose of the priority point concept.

I was a student from 2002-2006 and it sickens me to see how the student section has changed for the worse. I'm afraid we will never seen a student section like that of the Georgia game in 03. It was loud for all 60 minutes of Georgia. It's even more of a social event than it was when I was a student. First off adding all that gay shite to all of our cheers is blasphemy. Cut the f-ing "woo" from second down cheer. End the wave and beach balls and stop adding curse words to the cheers. If it was not for a bunch of idiots students, we'd have Tiger Rag, and the o e o cheer back..

So during a 3 minute commercial break, you'd rather hit a beachball or start the wave than talk to someone next to you about the game??

Dude, you're either 14, or a chick. If you're a male LSU student, then I'm ashamed of the douchebaggery that they allow to go on these days at my beloved alma mater
