Explain to me how much different the 25 year old's upbringing would be different from the 30 year old? It's not a power thing man, your the reason the student section looks bad.

Exactly what I'm saying. Clearly no one really means it when they chant that. Just like I don't mean it when saying it to my friends.

take for example, i'm playing a video game with my friends, score a touchdown against them or kill their character...i would say "boom, suck it" or "that's right bitch, suck on deez nuts"...same thing when we chant STTDB.

ETA: just like you calling me a fricking retard. I take absolutely no offense to that because clearly I know I'm not retarded, just like Alabama knows they aren't literally going to suck our dicks.

Certainly you are capable of distinguishing between what you do with your friends around the house and this. But I'm sure recruits' families love it and it sounds really witty on national television. Keep up the good work.

You're welcome guys. I loved going out there wearing my toonces shirt and telling the other team to suck that tiger dick. It took some hard dedication, but I stayed all the way to the 5 minute mark of the 3rd quarter for all the games. Looking forward to next year already

I do agree that it is not very witty.

And the truth is that the student section really just wants to make itself laugh.

We only started STTDB after they took away OH Wee OH! Because we added "Cock" to the end of "you suck". Because we were playing South Carolina. That was witty. We wouldn't have said it until we played South Carolina again, but the administration wasn't smart enough to figure that one out either.

Hell we were trailing Ole Miss at halftime and it was only 75% full at the start of the 3rd quarter.

You guys are being irritable douches for constantly bitching about the SS and it not being full. I am 35 and was sitting in the NE corner of the stadium Saturday night. Even had my 5 and 9 year old kids with me. It wasn't just the SS that was not 100% filled. I could see lots of the chairbacks in the W sideline, huge areas in the W Upper, and even spots in the S Endzone that were about 80% full...from the beginning. I even pointed out to my wife how there were multiple sections, not SS, that were not full. Also, I didn't notice the SS being emptied at halftime for this game. From my seat it looked like the SS was just as full as any other section all the way through the end.

As for all the talk about what the SS chants and their vulgarity; again, you guys are sounding like a bunch of old farts. I was a student in the 95-99 timeframe and we yelled stuff that was just as vulgar/crude at the time.

So that makes chanting "sucking that tiger dick bitch" ok? Solid reasoning.

Worst
Argument

I'm sure recruits get a bad taste because our students yell naughty words

For the Bama game, I was right on the lower walk way of the SS and they brought some recruits over and they were running around having a blast with everyone. I'm sure that helped a little bit, but then again curse words are the deciding factor

I'm sure their families are super offended by curse words and won't let their children go to school here because of it.

Yea, considering the "You Suck, Cock" thing was in 2007 and the STTDB chant started in 2011, that was the only reason. Actually the students kept chanting "Cock" after oh wee oh even after the USC game, I should know as that was my last year in Drumline. We played it for one more game after SC and then it got axed, we tried to bring it back later in the season and they started it again.

What you still fail to realize is the administration is not doing this to you because of what it sounds like in the stadium to people there, they are doing it for national reputation on TV. It's the downside to being so good. If we were Kentucky I'm sure no one would be saying anything. You have to see this from a University as a whole standpoint and not just as a football thing.

I don't mind the cursing. If someone makes a comment to me about it, I explain that statistics show that many of the kids were children of in married mothers or divorced parents and didn't have the advantage of a proper dual parent upbringing. These are the children of the entitled generation who think it's okay to illegally download music and movies from the Internet. These are the kids who grew up posting anonymously on the Internet so they don't understand that there are consequences for their words. These are the children who ushered in the Obama cultural shift and label anyone who condemns the actions of others as 'intolerant' or worse. It makes me feel better about how I'm raising my kids and the advantages they'll enjoy over these misguided youths.
