I guess the season in china hasn't started yet. He's at the game tonight signing autographs.

On my home from basic training, he was on my flight from Memphis to Shreveport. We sat there for an extra 15 minutes because he would not get off his cell phone. Told the stewardess we could leave when he was ready.
Gave me an autograph we landed though.

I always confuse him and Brandon Bass in my mind. At one point, didn't LSU have Swift and Bass on the same team?
probably thinking ronald dupree

Really? That's a shame.

I would call making over $43 million in 9 years a decent living

Which is why I just can't get into men's basketball anymore. It's hard to follow a team when the personnel changes annually, especially when the team, for the most part, sucks. I wish they could actually get a decent team together, STAY together, GROW together, and improve together. But that's just not the way it is anymore.
I feel the same way. I used to love the teams back in the 80's and early 90's when I was a kid. You knew who the players were and the teams built upon themselves year after year.
College Basketball is awful now.
I agree for the most part but you cannot deny that this past year champion Duke team was built from players that wanted to stick around and build a successful program. And they did. And look what happened to all-NBA draft Kentucky, they fell short. It just goes to prove that staying in school and building a great program is not a forgotten idea. Thank god for Coach K for keeping coaches like Calipari in check.

Was Brad Bridgewater the white small forward/guard? My dad an I drove to Albuquerque that year to watch us get run over by Wisconsin. It was like a 14 hour drive from Wichita, but one of those things I will never get. If Bridgewater is the guy I am thinking we sat next to his parents during the game and went with them to wait for the team by the bus. Ended up eating dinner at the table next to them that night and they asked us to join them. He was a nice kid for being a college basketball player and I remember he talked to me the entire time. At the time I was 8 years old so that was pretty awesome.
ETA: The kid I am thinking of was Brian Beshera not Brad Bridgewater.

White forward was Brian Beshara.
The other guy the poster a few posts above is probably thinking of Jabari Smith that played with Stro. Ronald Dupree did but in limited minutes. Swift and Smith were twin towers. Well, kinda.

He couldn't put the ball on the floor. It showed up against Wisconsin was it? in the tourney. It was a flaw in his game that probably limited him as a pro. Otherwise, he's a nice player.

He's doing what he can, but the problem isnt within college basketball, it's the NBA. When they created the "one and done" system the churn rate on rosters became too much for me to keep up with. And now you can grab one of these kids and take your program from the bottom to the top instantly.
It would be like if 10-15 Cam Newtons came out if JUCO every year.

I think it was Wisconsin. I think it may have been the worst offensive performance of the team that year. I'll look for it.

Yes, it was Wisconsin. They had that slow clunky group of white kids who physically bogged down games. I think they went to the final four.

That's good for him. he was pretty fun to watch when he was on. I'll never forget his zero arch 3 pointers.

Yea, I don't think I've ever seen such a straight shooter.
