They were allowed to play a brutal and unwatchable style of defense throughout the tournament. They held, grabbed, clutched and mugged non-stop and were rarely held accountable for it.

Don't know if this type of officiating was tournament wide or just on their side of the bracket but it was really bad.

Michigan St. finally beat them when Mateen Cleaves was quoted as saying "they were holding us everytime down court and they wouldn't call it so we started doing the same thing in the second half".
