Just noticed the game is on ESPNU. For those of us with a cox subscription that don’t have ESPNU, will we be able to stream the game live on WatchESPN? I thought I remembered having issues with certain games last year.

All ESPN/ABC network games are streamed on WatchESPN.

if it's not part of your cable package then you won't have access.

If you have a cable subscription, just go to WatchESPN and enter your login and you'll be able to stream all of their games (other than the blackouts). If you have a gaming console, Xbox 360/Xbox One or PS3/PS4, you can download the WatchESPN app on those and have it on the big screen.

This has been my experience.

So my sister has directv and I use her login for a lot of online cable streaming. So the only reason I can view all games is because those channels are included in her cable package?

I think 1999 is correct in his post above. I believe if you have the basic ESPN subscription for cable or satellite that you don't have access to the SEC Network games or the ESPNU games.

I may be wrong since I have the sports package but I think that is the way I remember it.

I have no idea what channels she has, so he could be right. I haven't had a game say I couldn't view it because I didn't subscribe, so maybe she has them all.

Many of the streaming services like SlingTV and PlaystationVue offer free trials. Maybe you could sign up tomorrow and use it free for a week. I am not sure which service is running free trials now but they all seem to at one point or another.

Or go to reddit. They have subs dedicated to streams of CFB and NFL games every weekend. You'll have to fight a lot of pop-ups and overlays for some, but it's a way to watch.

FWIW I found a customer service number for watch ESPN. The rep said the LSU game is listed on the upcoming schedule so I “should” be able to stream it with no problems. I have the app downloaded on my tv, just haven’t tried to stream a game that was being aired on ESPNU.

If it’s on any Espn channel then it’s on watch espn. Idk who is down voting some post but it’s been like this since espn 3 came out years ago

Probably. It should be obvious that I live up north out of SEC country. SECNetwork is not part of basic cable here, but the Big Ten Network is. All the programming is listed, but if you didn't have a premium package that included it, you would be denied access. The same true with ESPNU with one difference that I experienced. You couldn't watch live, but you could watch the replays. When I had this setup I would just go to a local bar and watch.

But there is no reason to be arguing about this. Just go to watchespn and check whether or not you can watch ESPNU live. Different cable companies may have different deals and you may have a different experience.

If you don't just get the login info from a friend. Several of my friends that live in other states do this with mine.

There was an angel in Tigerdroppings 2 or 3 weeks ago that posted this link. I tried it and bless his heart! It is magnificent and I watched the Southeastern game and other non-LSU games as well since. I will be watching The Tech game tomorrow, I am sure, with no problems:

LINK /

P.S. It is free
